This may all stem for official Getman numbering. Manufacturers like Junkers used standard numbers while the military classification used Roman numerals - J.I, D.III, D.VII etc.
Look at the fuselage numbering on the WNW J.1 and it says Junk J.I.
It's still a ground attack plane and as per my earlier post, didn't carry external ordenance. It did trial downward firing MGs but were dropped due to aiming difficulties.

No rigging on this one.
However, as I've mentioned before, there are no weapons to hang on it so it doesn't meet all the rules.....

Oh, I see the problem. Well you could model the gunner holding a 5 lb bomb over the side Or I could figure out how to rewrite rule 6 for gun centered Ground Support
