Paul, both should count as both are two-fanned and both designed to pound the ground with bombs.

Fred,
Thanks for your answer. I was not sure about the Mosquito, because I thought it was a fighterplane actually. Perhaps I'm gonna build both of them than; amongst others (like Lancasters) the Boston was common to bomb the town I live in. Also the Mosquito was used for precission bombing on the Philips factories in my town.

So it's a bit local history for me.
There is a serie of books about the bombings, my father in law has them (a gift from me, what a great son-in-law duh!!) so I go take a dive in them to see if I can find more information about the planes (colourschemes, markings, squads etc.).
Good reading for winternights, so I'm glad we start in january :-)

Hi Paul

The Mosquito was originally designed as an unarmed bomber - relying on its speed for defence. The fighter versions were only developed later.

Looking forward to seeing your build(s) when the time comes.

All the best

one question about the photos, i put my pics in threads, to better illustrate what im doing, so only 2 in progress pics? thats opening the box and the first half hours modelling for me! if the campaign leader has to do it all himself, fair enough, but wont this thread just be like all the others? everyone to put in pics themselves like we do all the time?

Hi Phil

I think Treecat just means only submit 2 pics to him to deal with. If you want to do your own "online build" that's great - post as many pics as you like there.

The pics of the finished builds can probable go into Content storage, so there'll be no worries about tying up personal Gallery space. 4 pics per entry sounds a good idea to keep things manageable.

All the best

Date; July 16th,1949.
Following repeated failures of the A bomb to function, the United States Army Air Corps has progressed with the devlopement of the B-49 8 engined jet flying wing bomber.

As units are withdrawn from the European theatre, they are reeequipped with the new long range flying wing.
Among these units is the 459th BG,from the 15th Air Force.

OK--someone has to build "Ein Schnell Kampfflugzeug" so I will offer up the obligatory JU-88. Seeing that I almost have my airbrush set up for business and the fact that I have never used an airbrush before means that I must build a plane with an interesting camouflage scheme to hide all of the bad airbrushing!!! I was wondering if torpedoes on a medium bomber will be acceptable?? Even if not, I have seen video where JU-88's were hitting ships with bombs-lol Now that takes concentration!!

P.S. My German is probably wrong but I do know how to spell Bier and Schnapps!!
