Hi Jean-Luc
That's Pips Priller posing with his BMW 327 in front of his personal Fw 190 "Black 13" - I think it's an A-5.

Hi Rowan!
Perfect answers! Now can you tell me the names of the three mechanics and the very precise rivet they are actually working on! Just kidding... your turn sir...

LOL! Jean -Luc
That's Gerd, Rudi and Joachim - and they're actually fighting over who gets the last pickled egg for lunch! :-)
OK - here's another pic for everyone. It might be really easy - hard to judge - but knowing how good some of you are at tracing registration codes, I've done a little editing to remove them. What's this aircraft?:

Hah! I knew this one because of an ad for limited run models in an old FineScale magazine. LOL
Well, I at least knew it was a Skoda product at first, and a little google brings me to the Skoda-Kauba Sk 257 fighter trainer.
And the coding is D-EZWA LOL!!!
Or was it G-OULASH?

Superb Mike!
Maybe next time I should paint out everything but the cockpit! I don't remember that ad. - what scale was it? I've always fancied a 1/48 scale model of this...
Over to you...

Oh god, I can't remember which issue lol. I just remember it was one of those cottage-industry ads with a profile line drawing of the type, and I remembered how squashed-looking and Czech it was :-)
BTW, I thought that wing was some kind of DFS product but I couldn't find it. Congrats to MC
Now, I've been thinking . . . and I've lost a lost of blood from my ears and nose in the process . . . . . . soooooooooo let's play six degrees of separation, modelling-wise
What does the old 1960's bubblegum pop hit song title "Red Rubber Ball" have to do with Martin Baker?
And this time you can phrase your answer in the form of an answer

Okay, either I've come up with a real poser or y'all are sitting back out of a sense of polite embarassment at my lacklusterness (is that even a word?).

Okay, I'll try to be a little less obtuse - it's actually the link between the song's ttle and a Martin Baker product.. If there's no bite by tonight (U.S. Eastern @ 11 p.m.) I'll surrender.

I'm 8 hours and 46 minutes late, but I'll surrender back to Rowan.
The "red rubber ball" reference goes back to the Spitfire canopy jettison mechanism developed by Martin Baker, in which the pilot's jettison handle was, in fact, a red rubber ball.
Back to you, Rowan

Hi Mike
I don't know about "surrender" - it looks like you won! Normally, in circumstances like this, I'd say you should ask another question - but to keep things moving this time, here's a nice easy one:
Name this famous aviatrix.

Hi Mike
I think that's Humphrey... or it might be Ramsbottom. I've heard of the guys with the paddles being called either Deck Landing Officers or Landing Signal Officers.

I should have been a little more specific. The name of that particular LSO

Hi Mike
Sorry - I thought you worded the question a little strangely. Off the top of my head, he looks like the bandleader Benny Goodman(!) - but I'll have to go websearching to see if he ever joined up...

Unfortunately, all I get is a red X, and when I copy and paste the properties, I get a can not display page.

Sorry about the tech problems. Just in case, here's a direct link:

And I'll give a little hint - "Paddles" in this photo was a well-known USN professional.
