The blanket is made from two layers of fabric from an old cotton glove.Once fixed on the horses back with a little glue ,I took a thin mix of nimbus gray and water and with a little thinned white glue mixed in, I dabbed the mix on with a brush until wet. This I dried with a hair dryer and dabbed on another coat.I will let this set overnight and finish with pastels.

Meanwhile back at the Jenny hangar.
It looks like Commanche has pretty much drained all the water from this tub!

I didn't have much choice here as his head is so low to the ground.I put a little debris on the bottom and sealed it with little glue/water mix, then dried it with a hair dryer and covered it with a little gloss medium to make it look wet.

Lousy day outside so I worked on Comanche's hitch.I found an old piece of plastic with a solder strip inside that used to be used for window alarms systems.(being a pack rat is a good thing)I sanded it with 600 paper to dull it down and make it look more like leather.Still looking for something that looks like horsey- doo though.

Here I am working on the final placement of the "T" and the WW1 pilots on their landscaping module.I kind of like this arrangement as it allows some space for the viewer to be included.I also like the idea of the back of the leg of the Patton figure just touching the Fords tire. Why? I really don't know.I just think it looks cool.

Back to Jenny for awhile.
The Camel bridges two of the landscaping panels which I only realized could be a problem till now. Will have to think about this! Either join the two panels together, figure out some way of easily separating the airplane from the truck or using two removable wheel screws instead of just one for stability.
