Hi Steffen!
No... I don't know what you mean. Could you explain a little more?
Happy Birthday! What day is it exactly?

27th = Siebenschläfer ... I was always held responsible for the weather for the following 7 weeks
and may I return the question ... IIRC you also have your birthday around this time of the year?!
cheers

33 is not much younger
and at least you have a wife, a child and a job ... besides a great hobby
Now you only have to plant a tree and write a book (maybe you have already?) ...
best wishes

Hi again Steffen!
I already planted a cherry tree in our garden.
There is only the book left... or maybe a comic if it counts!

Hi Guys
this went pretty much
over the last posts ... maybe we should focus on modelling again .. to bad I did not progress enough to justify such post
Apologies about the wheather .. hope this will not stay for the next 7 weeks and this year is an exception to the rule. (my thoughts go to the flooded people in England and the heavily sweating people in southern Europe)
all the best

Hello Howard and Jean-Luc
Thanks for your kind comments!
this is just a short intermezzo as I will be away for two weeks where I cannot build anything ... also I have to add a few yellow areas (this model got no primer and thus I did not mask those areas) .. we'll see how it turns out.
the Lifelike decals are nice and should be no problem at all.
best wishes
Steffen

Well back after a 13 months break ....
I have just updated all posts containing pix, linking to the IPMS site now (could not find the very first pic though). If you want to see the uncensored pix, please have a look at the aeroscale building feature.I started decaling shortly after my last update .. unfortunately I screwed one decal, the fuselage Balkenkreuz .. then I searched the whole decal stash for a replacement, but all were slightly different. So it went to the stack.
I ordered a 2nd set of Lifelike decals but I did not fell like I wanted to progress with this (I ruined the fuselage band when removing the wrecked decal) .. so it slumbered in the box.. until I lately began to work again on older projects (I also found the eduard Fw 190A-8 .. but damn I have JG 300 vol 1 home and not here ). So here it is as it looks today:
all the best

Hi again
well not so much progress, but I built a base and added some parts to the kit (TD whels , prop/spinner)
Sorry, lighting is bad .. thus 2 tries. I'll take a better pic tomorrow
cheers

Hi Steffen,
I'm glad you have started your butcher bird again
The mottling has come out great, may I ask if you blended it with a light overspray after?
Hope that makes sense.

Hi Steffen!
Very nice indeed!
I would only tone down the gloss of the tyres a bit. Even a new aircraft has some dirt on the wheels...
Sorry if I missed that, but these are resin replacement parts, are they?

Honestly I played that back and forth and I could not decide if I should dirty them up or make them look polished .. if you think it is better to make them look dirty I will do that .. after all you are the artist
the Wheels are TD .. I do not like them much but I had them in stock ...
cheers
