Academy reveals few details of their forthcoming 1:72 scale Blackbird presenting assembled kit and painting options available straight from the box.

Special edition with limited availability.

As usual for latest Academy releases decals are made by Cartograf. This set contains marking for thirteen different machines. Kit parts enables to make the canopy and exhaust cones in optional configurations. Detailed cockpit and exhaust cones. Company also states that all panel lines are engraved.

It would make a fine project. To bad "Limited Addition with Limited Availability" might translate into lots of cash.

would be nice if they gave you spare "tails" to display all the art options. Also, to me it looks like the display the inlet cones retracted, hope there is some detail in there.

Well HobbyLink Japan has it advertised as a June release and it's priced at $18.98. For that price, I might order 13 - one for each decal option.
