Master Details From USA Have announced a set of replacement stabilizers and elevators for Hasegawa's 1:32 Fw 190 kits.
FOCKE-WULF FW-190 HORIZONTAL TAIL SURFACES
FOR HASEGAWA NEW TOOL 1/32 SCALE KITS
Cat. 32024 MSRP $9.95USD
Hasegawa’s new tool Focke-Wulf FW-190 kits are quite popular and contain recessed panel lines and other details. However, the control surfaces are somewhat simplified and contain erroneous rivet lines on what is really only fabric tape on the real aircraft. This anomaly is present on all the fabric covered control areas. In addition, the horizontal and stabilizer and elevator in the kit is comprised of top and bottom pieces with no provision made for posing the elevator.
The controls of the real FW-190 were actuated by cables and when the aircraft was on the ground, the elevator was affected by gravity. Most wartime photographs show the elevator in the lowered position when the aircraft is sitting static.
Kit #32024 provides direct-replacement horizontal tail surfaces for the Hasegawa FW-190 new tool kit that will allow you to pose the elevators more realistically and candidly without the tedious effort of cutting and rebuilding the kit parts. It also supplies modified elevators with the incorrect rivet detail removed from the fabric tapes which are also made more subtle. This direct-replacement kit is precisely cast in premium grade resin and is easily installed using cyanoacrylate (super glue) type adhesive such as BSI Insta-Cure®, our recommendation.
