Now available from Alley Cat is a conversion set to transform the Tamiya 1/32 Mk IX Spitfire into a Mk XVI. The main set being the Mk XVI / MK IX Bubble Top conversion set, the second being a very easy and adaptable 'E' wing conversion set both based on the Tamiya Mk IX kit.

Spitfire Mk XVI/ IX Bubble Top Conversion Set
This set is designed to be used with the Tamiya Mk IX kit
This set comprises a complete of resin parts that are required to convert the Tamiya kit.
This conversion set is unique in that no cutting is required for the conversion, all the parts are designed as replacement parts
Masks are supplied to enable one of three aircraft to be modelled, canopy masks are also included. Some of the kit decals may be required to complete the markings and or stencil data.
The markings covered are as follows:

• 4DV, TB675 of 74 Sqn. April 1945 (Mk XVI)


• AEQ, of 402 Sqn. June 1945 (Mk XVI)


• APA, of 130 Sqn (Mk IX)
