@ Terri: Since school started at the first of this campaign I just dropped it and pretty much been dead to the world. Then I got tired of study study study and more study . Hermon dropped me a PM to join his campaign EOD so I visited and became hooked and between school and EOD my P-51 along with other builds had become neglected. Now that I am playing on the work bench again I hope that I can finish this a/c intime

Not out of this yet. After repairing some self inflicted wonds on the wing roots, I'm starting to make progress again. Just need a camera to prove it.....

I have painted the under surfaces

But I forgot to paint the wheel well covers . I'll do it tommorow

The preshading is barely seen but I'll tone it with the wash





In the photo below, I have circled a panel which there is a try to fade it like tankmen do. Not airbrush but brush, oil paint & thinner.

Ok guys, I'm back !! I've decided to have another crack at the Hobby Craft 1/48 F-82 that I started months ago, and promptly threw back in the stash.

The fit is horrible, but I think my skill level in that area has improved to overcome that, and the details are soft and ordinary.

Mostly I need a test subject for my first try at Alclad, so I've started back at it last night and put the cockpits together on both fuselages. Once I get some paint on them I'll post some pics.

You guys are doing some awesome work here, I'm very jealous !

Hi all, I have completed my entry finally. Went together pretty well and the decals weren't that much of a problem, bit thick but went down well. Pretty happy with it, just need to learn how to take proper photos

@ Nick: I see you paited the elevator before you glued it in place. That is a good Idea since the fit is realy good and you can airbrush it way easier. Wish I would think of that before I glued mine in place

What no original P-51?

Well I've got a AccMin P-51 to sort that.

Will be OOB and as per the painting instructions. It test fits like a dream. So I will be happy to disengage brain and build without AMS.

Hi Nick. I agree with you. I was refering to Nick Sinclair's "Old Crow". I see I made a mistake and forgot to write which Nick I was refering to.
Your Mustang is not so colourful yet, but I am sure it will be a cool build when finished. It surely looks good so far. Looking forward to see more.

I think Model news actually kitted a Mustang prototype, an NA-73. Since I snagged it from Squadron for U$1, I doubt it's gonna have the same fits as the AM one.

@ Jesper: I see your Mustang is ready for some JaBo action, Its a shame I dont have any rockets.

Well, I made a little progress. Scratchbuild the rear wheel bay and glued the fuselage together only to buy a AM wheel bay two days later. So to make things a little complicated I broke up the fuselage, installed the new AM wheel bay and struggled to fit the fuselage together again. Didnt fitt well so I had to use putty and sand things down, which in turn cost me some nice rivets. But the new wheel bay was worth it !

Wont bee around for a few days, but I will hopefully finish it in time
