1⁄35Modeling a Lippisch DM-1
History
This was an experimental glider of delta configuration. Captured before it was
completed, work was finished in Germany under the watchful eye of the Army Air
Force, and this aircraft was subsequently flight tested. Presently in storage at
the Paul E. Garber Facility.
This here Kit
Saddle up the horses boys, we got us some work
ahead!
This here is a new company to me, and I'm sure to most of you too. Looks
like a familiar cottage Czech industry product in a color Xeroxed box. Casting
is done in the typical tan resin and looks to be a simple kit. I see some photo
etched frets for the smaller details, white metal wheel legs along with a some
metal rods and wire. Most of the rest of the parts is resin, and some beefy
looking things at that! This heres got to be AMC's first attempt at this resin
aircraft model stuff. The engineering aspect of the kit should be simple, but it
ain't, and here's why.
