Well, if you would decide to allow for helicopters then I would participate with a Seahawk.

If yuo want to draw the line somewhere then you could request that whatever plane or chopper entered in this campaign has to be made in the markings appropriate for a carrier based vehicle.

Well, these are just suggestions, of course

Sounds sensible to me, but it opens up an enormous number of types that are not normally associated with carriers, B-25s, Mosquitos (yes I have a picture of one landing on a carrier) Ju87s, Me109s, Chinooks (Falklands). I suspect this was not the idea behind the original proposition but it is fascinating to see how far we can push these ideas.

Has the steam just run out for this campaign? And there was me getting ratog and exhuasts for me wyvern!
How about may 2009 to the end of 2009?
There was enough folk interested before I think. What we need is a carrier banner.

Was it ever submitted? I'll happily submit it if not.

How about some gold wings for carrier landings as the ribbon?

OK
submitted for a may 09 start and november finish

The Airedale Navy - Carrier campaign.
1:144 - 1:24 scale carrier aircraft. choppers included.
Aircraft modelled must have landed / taken off from a carrier.
Documentary evidence required for dubious entries.

WIll post link once it is accepted.

Chuck has kindly made a proposal thread for us. And a link to the campaign

I thought gold wings might be nice to have as an award. Here is an image I found on the web

Anyone good at banners?

Excellent look for the ribbon. Very appropriate.

I can make some banners, but will not have time until after the weekend. I will post them in this tread.

I am thinking a F9P Panther for this campaign......

Great idea for the ribbon JP. Will look excellent on everyones profile pages.
Jesper, any chance you could give me some details on the banner making? I'd like to make my own but have no idea how to do it.

You just make a picture 60 x 468 pixels wide. I use pictures that are freely available on the net and a free shareware program called paint.net. It can be downloaded quickly.

Hope this helps....
