Thanks Keith . I'm not sure if fish hooks will work for 48 scale , The wire I use is very fine , same with the hoops . However , it is something worth a try .
Lars , Thank-you for the help with the shades . I will be doing this for more of my builds .
Still have to refine it more and get used to a double action airbrush .
I have done some work , rest of the national markings are on . lower wing has been glued on with the hard ware for the rigging . And start the detail painting of the rad . Once the top wing has been mounted I'll have some pic's up ...................

Yes it is Lars and I'm hoping to get a few more builds done more this year . I did 5 last year .
Still working on the guns , top wing is ready to be mounted as soon as I can get the guns done . Lots of small tiny part's !
For part of the turnbuckle small groves were scraped on the fuselage parts to allow clearance for these parts . Four on each side .
Here is a shot of the lower wing . Still have to finish up on the repair where the wing broke .
It was still a week joint to fix while off the fuselage . Now that the glue has set for a few days I can continue on with the repair .
And the details of the rad and twisted wire hoops .
Top side with national markings

Sweet. I just love the radiator shutters. Just remind me never to build a WWI crate when you're around.
But how on earth could they choose to fly in such bright targets, while carrying no parachutes. It's a weird weird world.

Good morning follow modelers ! Little more work has been done and something that a few of you have been waiting for . Top wing has now been mounted .........................
I did use the kit PE parts for the cab/struts LHS was out of stock on half round in the size I need . I do have contrail plastic stock , but find it to be very weak matreial for the cab/struts .
the faded spot on the right side of the rudder s natioal marking is mis-hap 309,867,354,200
When mounting the wing forgot about the super glue plate ( coffee can lid ) and when moving around the rudder dipped it's side into it . Glue has been removed and waits touch up !

I can honestly say that the day you stop building models, is the day the hobby will be less fun & interesting. Outstanding job as always! Thanks so much for sharing your talent! I look forward to your next project (s)! SKOL !

Hi Terri,
a very nice and colourful project you realized there. Your striped Albi looks absolutely great.
You encourage me doing my Spad XIII in checkerboard or candy stripe livery.
Regards Peter

Keith ; Cracking !!!! where , oh no not the paint again That could almost be fighting words ! Thanks For the kind words and turnbuckles are easy to do , just very time consuming . just give a holler when you need help !
Johannes ; now I'm blushing ............It would be less fun and interesting if I didn't have all the great support from you guy's
Roger ; Thanks, Glad that you find my builds to be inspiring .
Kalt , I'm full of surprises
Stephen , Thanks . Great to hear from you . I even remembered to add the front bungee cords on the landing gear , only after I already glued to wheels in place
Peter , I have one pic of a checker Spad in my ref's and I will be modelling that one as well , just need better profile drawings . Now a candy stripe Spad ... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hugh , I learnt that from you Thanks my friend always a welcome .

A great taster for stripes in the sky. I missed you finish this. Dang you are quick.
Such a pretty plane and you've really done it justice. That cockpit was really stand out.
Now all we need is the munchen kindl to go with it. Stephen?
