G'day Tim, and yes we would love to have you on board the Boom Train. Especially with a 1/32 Lightning, excellent choice and more diversity for the campaign.

Thanks for coming along.

Cheers, D

Hey Damian, this is what I'll be flying in your campaign. She'll be all done up in the US Navy training theme. Lots of bright orange and white.

I already have a couple of P-38's and a black widow on the display shelves so I thought I'd do something a bit different.

G'day Hermon, excellent choice. Check my posts earlier in the thread, I will be doing that kit as well, alongside the old 1/50th Heller kit of the same plane as a dual build. Haven't decided on schemes yet although I'm leaning towards one in camo and one in Black, 'coz I love black planes.

Damian, great minds think alike!
Although, since you and I seem bent on building the same planes for all these campaigns the administration may eventually start awarding only one ribbon between the two of us.

Hi Guys,

I'm signing up for this one with a Classic Airframes 1/48 DH Vampire NF10. I'm a resin Virgin, so I'll be breaking new ground......... or resin possibly. It will also be my First Classic Airframes kit.

Anyway, I can't wait to get started on it and good luck to all.

Victor.

Hi all you BOOM BOOMERS, this is your captain speaking . . . less than 2 weeks to go until it's wheels up on this campaign. Is everybody happy to continue this thread or do we want an official build thread for updates?

Cheers all, D

Hi Damian
Lets have a new thread. Is it possible to have a roll call on who is doing what? I am doing a Revell's [ex monogram] P-38J Dropsnoot in 1/32. The finished model will in the markings for 'Hellza droppin'. I looked at the kit this evening and it really looks ancient. The flow lines from the hot plastic makes for an interesting camoflage scheme. Lots of rubbing down, scribing and putting in recessed rivets for this beauty, cant wait. The decals look a bit iffy so I may have to find an alternative to the above. I remember when I was ten, my younger brother was given this kit for a birthday present. I was so jealous. It was never made as he was not in the least bit interested!

I'll second Tim's suggestions. I'm looking forward to getting started.

I'm going to try my luck with a P-61 black widow. This was my first build many moons ago (the revell offering) so it will be a bit nostalgic. It will be the first time that I build an aircraft from Dragon and in 1:72 scale ..this will be interesting to say the least.

Cheers,

Hermann

Thanks for responding guys. Ive started an official campaign thread with a roll call that will be updated regularly. I will PM CRS and GaryKato and see if I can get the thread pinned for us.
Cheers, D
