Other ideas would be the Noratlus (same configuration as a C-119), Fokker D.XXIII, Fokker G.1, Gotha 242/244 transport, Rutan Voyager, and Savoia S.55. I seem to recall that some tactical recon UAVs are twin-boom as well as some of the proposed "Luftwaffe 1946" aircraft.

I'm in, how about a DH2 with 4 booms, go on, say yes

I would say "no, no." The tail surfaces are attached via supports and struts. To suggest this is a twin boom would be to suggest the Wright Flier was a twin fuselage aircraft. Wikipedia

No one has mentioned the FW-189 "Owl" always thought that was a nice little twin boomer

I would be down for this one as well.... have a P-38 to do! if somebody would come out with a decent 1/48 kit of a OV-10 i would be all over that (want to do some VMO-2 and VAL aircraft...as well as some from desert storm..thats at least 3 OV-10s)

I wish hasesgawa, Hobby boss, or trumpeter would do one!

Indeed he did, my bad. Strange things happen to your mind when you get old.

We're up to 17 now, I'm happy with a January 2010 start and a 12 month run time, gives us all a chance to get some other work done, and pick up a few more along the way. Any objections??

And Chuck, yes I agree, strange things happen to your mind when . . . . . . . What was I saying ?

Hey Al you have just saved me money, I have a Wright Flyer in the stash and if a 111Z or a F-82 qualifies then this does. Actually, I think Damian is right and the DH2 really is twin boomed with thwe engine between the booms the booms just happen the converge toward the tail. I think Damian is also right about not getting too hung up on the rules, If it could qualify, it should and promote as many types as possible. If I knew if any manufacturer did a Caudron I'd do that

G'day Nigel and Allen. Plenty of room, jump on.
Doing the usual browsing I found this crazy unit

apparently based on a one-off actual aircraft. Now a TWIN TWIN BOOM What If Campaign, theres a thought.

Anyway, I will submit this one shortly.

Cheers all.

Haha, I didn't even realise we were approved. Thanks for the interest to all of you.
It would be great to start to see the kits here that we propose to build.
Now I need some help, any advice on how to create a ribbon and banner ?? Even just a link to a previous thread on this issue. Many thanks.

Well, Damiian

your not official yet. This is the enlistment phase and you should stir the advertizing drum a bit more because as of now we are only 6 and AFAIK you need at least 10 to go official!

all the best

Thanks Steffen, I'm learning the ropes here as well as on the workbench.

Ok you lot, lets get this build off the ground. From the posts so far there is a wild range of planes from all eras and all corners of the globe, so the gallery promises to be a real eye-catcher. I would love to see photos of all of the proposed kits posted to drum up more interest, and lets get the enlistment roll FULL ASAP.

As for me, I've managed to find another Skymaster (Testors 1/48) to go with my earlier Heller 1/50 kit, so I will be going with a dual build with those 2 birds. Photos to follow shortly.

FIRE IT UP GUYS . . . . LETS GO

Never mind, I'll get the ball rolling, here are my 2 proposed kits -

Am looking forward to this one as a start to the new year.

Hi guys,

I'd like to get in on the campaign. Would this count as a "twin boom'?

Damian,
Ever thought about the 02 from Bat 21,or the Range rat from the Testors instructions. If u need some testors 02 kits I have some to spare. Todd
