Mark,
Another outstanding project my friend. I admire the fact you've kept at this project after the space heater incident. Now that's real dedication to modeling and a project.Keep up the excellent work ,looking forward to the next update.

Thanks Stephen, Terri and Gregory. It is nice to see this coming together. I am really warming up to it. The wheels are a little loose, not quite as snug as the LVG, I may tack them with white glue or something similar.
I do like the single seater. I can see progress and the light at the end of the tunnel is always present.

Thanks Mark: Do you build WWI Subjects? You should join one of these builds. It is motivating, inspriational, and.................challenging. I have learned a whole new set of skillsets working on these models and ideas and techniques from the folks on this forum.

Speaking of the Dark Side it appears that I now have exactly 1 biplane in the stash, a J2F Duck. I traded off an SBC for an A-20 to get down to the one.
Currently I'm struggling with a Kitech F-16C but I'm signed up for a Century series build and a P-51 (my first NMF in 20 years). I'm also trying to help on a P-40/P-36 build. So I've got a few challenges, hopefully there'll be some fun along the way.

Mark, that is really looking great. You are going to have fun attaching all those loose wires. Believe me, I know all about having a few loose wires.

Very nice work, Mark. As I was scanning through, I thought that first picture was from a museum. Nearing the finish line..................

Thanks Carl: I too have experience with loose wires, both in the military, and the civilian sectors of life as we know it here on earth. Without them I think I would be driven mad by it all. River bridge closing due to flooding has put a monkey wrench in the attachment of same, maybe this weekend.

Thanks Mark: As mentioned to Carl, the river bridge is closed between MN and WI, I work in MN and live in WI. The finish line just got moved back a few days that is all. Gives me time to take 'pause'.
Cheers

Hi Mark,
Really, really nice – I like it alot, especially the PC10 shade and the subtle rib effect. You're on the home stretch now. Hope the bridge will open again soon.
Best Regards
Mikael

Okay Folks: Got the SE.5a. finished tonight. A couple of jokers stopped by for photo ops so they had to get in the act.
ms/ad261/ptbarnum101/Aeroscale%20builds/MVC-130S-1.jpg[/IMG]
And then one of them had to take pictures close up!
I finally told them to move so I could get a clean shot.
I got to enjoy this build, but it seemed to want to fight me all the way. Must be the remnants of a gremlin. It is a great kit, I don't think I would do another real soon, but some time in the future, I think there will be another one of these. In the mean time, there are plenty of other new kits to tackle and put into practice what I have learned on these kits and off this site.
Thanks for following along on this build, and thanks to those that offered their spares when I melted the first one. It is salvageable, but I think I will relegate it hangar queen status as life is too short and there are plenty of other nice kits to do.
What now? I am going to have a martini in celebration of beating the jinx, and take out the Encore DI/ DII and do it in Boelcke's markings.
Cheers

Thanks Stephen, Mark and Mike. Modeling on indeed. Now in quandry. Was thinking of the Encore DI/DII, but.......these WNW kits are so sweet.......just need to take pause.

Thanks Terri, Rag, Mark, and Mikael: I painted those about 17 years when I was building 1/32n between the wars a/c, i.e., the Monogram Gulfhawk, F3F, Hasesgawa's Bi-Planes and P-26 and the venerable Williams Brothers SparowHawk. They add a little scale, and in the words of that Aurora booklet about how to do your WWI airplanes, "Interest and Excitement"!

OUTSTANDING SE-5a. The long hard fight was certainly must be rewarding.Excellent project my friend. By the way I think I've seen those two characters hanging around here too.
Highest Regards,

Thanks Gregory: Yeah it was nice to see it through to completion. I am in the opening stages of the Encore Albatros D.II in Boelcke's markings. When I make some progress I will post some pictures. There is PE and Resin for it, and I plan on using some of the PE, but I am not a big fan of it, as it just seems too fiddly for me. I admire those that can make it do what they want it to; but I will play with it and see how it turns out.
Take care
