I received the kit this morning and have only just started construction. As you can see very little has been done, the cockpit floor, control column, rudder bar are all done but the oil paint needs time to dry before I can coat it with clear. The fuselage framing has been oil painted so also needs time to dry. Photos in the instruction booklet show that the fuselage frame is braced and has turnbuckles so I will be adding those details. The instructions show quite clearly all the control cables which run from the cockpit, these will also be added.
I hope to have more to show in the next few days.

James in NZ. asked me if I would be interested in doing a build review of one of the new kits, so I chose this one. He asked if I could do the build like I have done my other builds here. I am flattered that he thinks I am worthy of such a task.

I will endeavor to build this model hopefully as well as my previous Wingnuts build, the WNW Bristol.

Just a small up-date. I have started fitting the turnbuckles to the fuselage frame, 6 on each side. All the timber work has been coated with clear orange then sprayed with satin clear. The foot boards are now fitted along with a bit of rigging under the boards. The instrument panel needs to be glossed and the decals fitted. The seat needs to be "worn"and coated with clear matt. The control cables will be the next job once I have completed the turnbuckles.

The cockpit area is near completion, all the turnbuckles are fitted along with the brace rigging. I used 0.12mm monofilament in Chameleon colour and the brass ends are 0.4mm tube cut to 1.2mm. The instrument panel is complete apart from the "glass" over the instrument faces, the decals went on extremely well and are nicely detailed. The seat still needs more work so that will happen next. The instrument panel and seat are only a dry fit just for photo purposes. I added extra plumbing on the left side along with a throttle cable. Up to this stage, there has been no problems at all, the fit of parts is excellent.

Looks great. Are those PE turnbuckles?

How are the tolerances on this kit? I seem to remember somwhere WNW said they would not be as tight in the second round of kits.

Hve you all noticed how popular the Early Aviation site is becoming? Great builds like this are probably one of the reasons.

Very nice detail work on your Pup cockpit. The wood grain effect looks great!

Makes me glad I decided to keep the stray Pup that jumped into the cart with the Albatros when I placed my order!
