Hi all!
Being from Sweden, I love Deltas, especially those from SAAB!
J-35 Draken, J-37 Viggen and JAS 39 Gripen!
Oh, I bring a classy J-35 Draken to the party!
Cheers!

Matty, Ryan and Stefan, glad you guys could make it.
Stefan, I'm gonna bring a J-35 to the party as well. This will be my first Saab so hopefully you can give me some tips along the way.

We now stand at 11 so it looks like we're official now.
Theres a year before the campaign starts so don't anyone wander off.

Hi folks,
I've just enlisted... I've a bit of time to decide what to build but the Viggen is very tempting!

Merlin, welcome to the party, and thanks for helping out. With an automatic 5 year extension you should be able to make an outstanding entry.![]()

If I'm feeling brave in a year's time, I'll dig one or other of these beauties out of The Stash:

If I'm not, I'll probably go for a Hobby Boss Mirage with an SBS cockpit upgrade.

All the best

Blimey Rowan the two Lippisch's look fantastic. I have just acquired the Hobbyboss 1/72 Rafale B for this campaign, which looks very good. But I discovered while rummaging about my stash a Airfix 1/72 Gloster Javelin. I need to search out some resin for it. Hmmm decisions, decisions and there are months to go yet
All the best.

Wow! Those are some great kits Merlin. I wish I had your stash in my hobby room.
Tim and Justin, the Rafale is one of my favorite non-American jets......just behind the ultra futuristic Draken of course. Something about those 60's era jets is just plain sexy.

Ive got my eyes on an Italeri 1/48 Mirage at the LHS which comes with Aussie markings included. Anybody have any comments on that kit, good bad or indifferent ??

Damian, I have this kit in my stash, but have not build it yet.
It is an OK kit, but looks like a reboxing of the old ESCI kit. It shows its age in some areas like the engine and cockpit, but should build into a decent model. The decals look really good! The fit of the parts I cannot comment on yet.
If you find another 1/48 Mirage you want to build instead (fx. Eduard weekend edition if this is the right version for Australian Mirages) I will of course gladly donate my decals to you after your help with Thunderbolt decals.
Hope this helps

D, I have the Italeri and Eduard kits in my stash. The Eduard is a much better kit, hands down. I also have the old revell kit and it isn't bad either.
We're sitting at 14 for this campaign now. Any more takers? A recent count in my stash shows the following:
F4D Skyray
F-102
F-106
4 Different Mirages
Rafael D
Eurofighter Typhoon
Saab Draken

I still don't see any sign up page so we may just have to make this a covert campaign. Everyone wishing to build a delta wing aircraft meet at my house this Saturday night and we'll get started.![]()

Does the XB-49 fall into the delta wing category? I think it might .. and I have one in the stash I need an excuse to build..

I'm actually not sure if the XB-49 would be considered a true delta wing............
...............but it sure would be an awsome entry. If no one else has a problem with it, I say sure, build it.

Warren, go for it. The XB-49 is so close to the delta wing definition that only a true expert could argue against it.

Indeed, it is quite literally a delta wing, nothing more, nothing less ![]()
It is a wing

I'm in if you're really starting later next year Hermon. I'll probably be building a 1/48 F-106 or SR-71. Wouldn't mind tackling an XB-49 along with Warren, but I'm not sure I want to take on that ocean of NMF yet.
