Welcome aboard Bob! And yes it's on the campaign page and you're already signed up. Good thing too, we have to keep the gang together.

Say, if you're not dead set on a south east asia camo scheme, I have a couple sets of unused F-102 decal sets that are pretty awsome but they're for NMF birds. If you're interested PM me and I'll show ya a pic of them.

Hermon, thank you for the offer but, NMF and I are TOXIC I will stay with the S.E.A. scheme. Besides it was my favorite back in the 1960's, had avery a/c that I could get my hands on to paint (destroy) and hang from the ceiling.

Think I'm going to change my build. One of the first models I ever built was an F-106, when I was about 12. I think I'm going to have another go and see how far my skills have come since then. I'll do the J35 next time.

I've just enlisted, I'll probably come along with a Eurofighter Typhoon from Revell. It looks like a nice kit and I want to do one sometime anyway so this campaign should be perfect.

Come on Man!! Challenge yourself to a nice NMF scheme but remember, 90% of NMF was never polished so it became a matt scheme in no time flat from sitting out in the elements... Go for it Bob!!

Go for it Bob, I'm one decent paint session away from my first NMF since 1990. So far I'm swearing by (not at) Floquil Old Silver...

This is my first campaign build, but since my stash of unbuilt aircraft consists mainly of deltas I guess I should be able to finish this.
I am also a "newbie" to aircraft, having built armour mostly during the 21th century. I did however build a lot of aircraft when I was younger, mainly 1/72nd scale stuff. Now I am more in to 1/48.
Speaking of deltas, my first 1/48 scale aircraft in some 20 years is a J-10A. I didnīt see it being mentioned in any lists above, so I thought I should mention it, because I think itīs a good looking aircraft.

(if you want to see more pics of my J-10 itīs available here: Plasticwarfare.se

Oh, I forgot to mention what I am going to build. Well, I havenīt decided yet. I might build an Eduard Mirage III CJ Profipack I picked up on a sale the other day, but I also have a Tiffie, a Rafale, two Gripens and a Draken waiting so..

best regards

This is my Hawk P-51 after 1 coat of Old Silver

Nozzle clogged, full of unidentified fibers, ending session before full coat was applied.

I'm not throwing my hat inthe ring here (yet?), but I see that a French Dassault Rafale shot down a Libyan G-2/Galeb last night.
Just saying...

I have given up on an inexpensive F102 and looked at Academy's Mirage III. Does anyone have any comments on this kit? At $6.99 I thought that it would fit the budget.

I've changed my mind from a Eurofighter to a F4D-1 Skyray from Tamiya in 1/72nd scale.

Isn't that just a beautiful aircraft?

Yes.. the Skyray was definitely a great looking aircraft.

I was going through the stash the other day and found an Italeri B-58 Hustler sitting quietly trying not to get noticed, so after I finish the YB-49 I will attempt to complete the Hustler as well... oh and I also found a 1/72 Tamiya Skyray.. and a 1/32 Revell Mirage IIIC/E/whatever.. and a 1/32 Trumpeter Mig-29.. two 1/32 Tamiya F-4s.. and a 1/32 Eurofighter from Revell.

Amazing what you can find when you get around to cataloging your stash...

@ Alcatraz: that is a beautiful photo of the FORD. I am still trying to find an inexpensive delta wing in 1/48 to build for this campaign. The Mirage lll at $6.99 sounds like the winner.

@ Warren: maybe I need to come on over and help you with your cataloging and walk away with a build for myself I should have your trouble.

Ah, Bob, that sure sounds expensive for a free kit, what with airfare, baggage fees and all.

I think I'm sticking with the Tamiya 1/72 Ford myself....

I hope I'm not stealing your thunder, I did an extensive search of delta-winged aircraft available on the market until I came across the Skyray and became hooked.

Well, I do have:
F-102 (Hase)
F-106 (Hase)
SR-71 (2 from Revell)
B-58 (Italari)
F4D (Tamiya and Hawk)
XF-92 (Hawk)

In the stash, although I think the XF-92 is started...

I could go for either a 1/48 F4D or F102 in SE camo.

I DO NOT LIKE NMF. The very mention of NMF in the same sentence with my name can start a WAR.

I think you're safe with the Skyray, I've decided on a Skyhawk instead. I like to sling a lot of ordinance underneath.

Hi all,

I have planned to take part in this campaign with an Academy 1:48 Mirage III R and Eduardīs 1:48 Mirage III C.
But I have fallen in love with a Revell 1:72 Saab J-35 J (Hasegawa reboxing) in a hobbyshop in Nuremberg. I even want to start this kit immediately. What should I do? I wanted to finish my 1:72 Breguet Atlantic first
It is not easy to keep track in this hobby... Temptations everywhere...

Servus,

Sebastian
