It has come to my attention have Hermon is on a leave of absence and may be for a while longer. As he was the campaign leader we have two options
- Continue with the campaign starting in September and find someone who would be willing to step up to the plate as campaign leader
- postpone the campaign until February 2012 (we do have a slot available then)
So what do you guys and gals think?

Greetings Allen,
I think it shows respect for one our own to postpone the build and give Hermon the chance to step back in for the full campaign. If he is not in a position to return next February it would be my priviledge to step up and volunteer to be campaign leader on his behalf.
All the best,
Brian

Agreed, we should give 'Cuda every opportunity to get back into the game with us. I will PM and email Hermon to see if he can give us any idea of time frames for him.

I'd vote for postponement as well, it would help space out the campaigns more evenly. There are a few colliding at the end of the year I believe?

We only have the following towards the end of the year
- One starting in October
- Two ending during October
- Four ending during December
So I think we've balanced out for the rest of year the campaigns now we have just had 5 finish in the last couple of weeks
I have now set this campaign back to start 1st February 2012.
Lets all hope Hermon is back by then.

I'm ok with postponement...have too many campaigns going on anyway.
My modelling time has been severely curtailed by a motorcycle accident. I'll do my best to complete the campaigns I have signed up for, but I think a few of them won't be done in time.

I'm so far behind on my other campaigns a postponement works for me.

Well Jonathan, I will look into my tealeaves and make a prediction . . . . . . I see you starting this on or after Feb 1 2012, and you will have it done by July 31 2012. It will be small, but very detailed. My tealeaves never lie.
Well folks, we have 33 enlisted and some very interesting builds proposed for this Campaign. One problem, our leader Hermon (VonCuda) is still MIA, and from my email conversations with him he is still unable to confirm when he will be able to get back to his modeling.
Back on July 1, Brian (bf443) offered up his time to lead this Campaign in Hermon's absence. I think that's a great idea and we should all give the Delta Dawn Campaign everything we can !
Cheers, D

hi-
Do the aircraft in this campaign have to be of planes that made it into the air, or can planes that were proposed, but never got to fly, participate? Thanks!

Hi Chesley. The rules don't say anything about prototypes or design-only aircraft, but knowing Hermon I'm sure he would love to see some unusual designs put forward, just as long as they fit the "Delta Wing" criteria. I say go (in the absence of officials to answer at the moment).
Cheers, D

I take it that this is for the Delta Dawn campaign beginning next month?
I recently started an F-106 and Michael Satin was kind enough to point out this campaign to me.
Would anyone object to a build-in-progress joining up? There is not much finished on it outside of the missiles and cockpit. If not, I'll go enlist.
Thanks,
Keith

I've just read on wikipedia that the F-16 has a cropped-delta planform incorporating wing-fuselage blending. So I would say that this would fit in with the rules.

the campaign leader was Hermon (voncuda) but he has been off line from the forums to to family health issues for quite a while now. The campaign has already been postponed once, so I think we need to find some one to take the reins for this one, (Preferably someone who is enlisted in the campaign). Any takers?
