Well if Brian can not I will run this triangle campaign lol

You're a good man Justin, I don't care what Allen says about you !

I'll have to go digging into my stash and find that Mirage now, another wingy-thingy with no spinny-thingy at the pointy end !

I will also email Hermon and let him know what's happening here, see if I can get him to at least drop in for a look and a quick comment from time to time.

Cheers, D

Shhh you'll give me a bad name thanks for stepping up to the plate Justin. I only hope Hermon will be able to pop in even if it's just to say hi

Hey you guys, cut that stuff out! We need to talk about IMPORTANT things, like what I'm going to build for this one!

So, I'm really trying to stick to pure delta (though I love A-4s and have a 1/32 F-16I giving me the come-hither look). So, whadda think, 102 or 106? Both 1/48 Monogram (of course).

I DO NOT LIKE NMF. The very mention of NMF in the same sentence with my name can start a WAR.

Bob

Bob,

Reading through the thread (man, I must be bored! ) and came across your anti-BMF rant. Can't entirely blame you! However, I want to point out that F-102s and 106s weren't bare metal, they were almost all ADC gloss gray (FS 16473). And some of the markings they carried were very colorful!

Just FYI and, as I said, because I'm kinda bored. A few 102s were in the SEA scheme, so go for it if you still want to, just wanted your decision to be informed!

Yup, I plan on doing my -106 with a little color modulation of the gray and in McChord AFB markings. Not real colorful, but it will do.

Keith,

You mean one of these?

I have an old Experts-Choice sheet for this unit and was thinking of that myself, but I've got a couple 106s and am also thinking of a 94th FIS bird, so no sweat!

Michael,
That be the one. In the "its-a-small-world" department-I have two different Air Force retiree friends at two different bases and from two different career fields who happened to have worked together on F-106s as young airmen at McChord. To give the kit a 'personal touch' I plan on making them the crew chiefs when I make the decal sheet.
