Hmm .... I do not know where exactly the mistake is, but I am not happy with the look
still a few things to add: windshield, contro cables, ...

Actually, I think she's a fine job. It might stand a wee bit tall on the front end, and the spinner is slightly blunt compared to photos. But, other than that you should be proud. Great job.
I'll be starting one of these on November 11. Hope I do as well as you.

Thanks Guy!!
The thing is that I am not sure whether the wheels are just too small in diameter or if the legs are too long. I have more of these in the stack, the old issue with Voss' markings and the latest issue with Buckler's "Mops" and I would like to know what to do better then. As I wrote I lengthend the legs 3mm front and rear as on my D.V (which I really like and which has larger wheels). Sadly my Black Dogs sets still did not arrive (I got no mail since a week or so) ....

She looks good Steffen .
The wheels still look a little on the small side . It's not the landing struts adding the 3mm was spot on . Hopefully your Black dog set will show up soon . I also agree with Stephen that Eduard should do a resin up-date for this error in their kit for the D.III and the D.V/a .
Love the line up as well ! just need to add the 153 series to it !
PS , decals are on their way

Hi Steffen:
I think you did a noteworthy job on the DIII. I think the wheels are just a tad small, and that is the look you don't like. Personally, I think it is fine the way it is, but I know how you feel when you put forth the effort and something just doesn't look right. I am waiting for someone, other than Battle Axe, to do a decent OEFAG (sp) DIII in 1/32nd. Else, I may have to pop for the BA one.
I also like your Goering DV. Grossartig!
Best
Mark

Thank you Mark!
I think I will leave it this way for the show next weekend (of course with a wash and some flat coat) but as soon as I get the Black Dog sets I will change the wheels for those .... if they are larger, which I really hope...
All the best

Looking good Steffen. Your entirely welcome. And it looks like you hit the big time. Eduard has noticed the build and posted it on their Facebook page!

I put in a request there for Brassin upgrades for the 1:48 Alb. D.III and D.V landing gear. It couldn't hurt. Anyway congrats Steffen.
Stephen,
Perhaps/obviously, I missed something. Brassin Details? Please elaborate!

I sent out a plea to Eduard for them to do updates in the Brassin for their Albatros D.III & D.V landing gear.

OK, Now I am following. This is not a set already issued, but one you/ all of us are requesting. Perhaps add to your request some radiator piping for the DII, DIII, and W4.

Hi Steffen – Great looking trio of Albatroses there! Also congratulations on the eduard Facebook feature!
Looking forward to the Bromowski machine evolving – it'll be intersestin to see how the red decals work out. Sounds like a lot of work
Best Regards
Mikael

Cheers Mikael!
The decals are the yellow swirlies only! I still have to find a good red as I cannot use my usual red which is a tad too yellow and the austrian red is rather "dark" or "more red" ... hard to describe. But I will do a few other builds befor I start the 153 series Oeffag.
Some more pix will follow later today. I added most of the stuff missing, only the windshield and tail control cables ...
all the best

Steffen,
Just strayed in to early aviation for a peek. Whilst I don't know anything about that era, I'm gonna have to give it a go. This model, and others in this forum, look great. Well done Steffen, I'll be looking for something like this next time I'm at the hobby store.

I need to recover today from a vey exhausting Show weekend in Thionville. Nice event, very cool climate in the show room we were situated. This kit is almost done and I had it with me there ... of course Jean-Luc's models were the focal point of our display as well as Marc Toillie's bases so my small ww1 collection did not get much attention ... OTOH I do not speak French so I had to rely on J-L, Marc and Geoffroy (thanks again mates!) and I am not too angry that I did not need to explain much
I will take some pix tomorrow and post them for some more motivation
all the best
