Hi Tim.
Decals arrived today. Thanks again. Only problem is I will now need to buy more kits as the ones that come with the kit have great camo schemes!
Thanks again

Found my decals waiting for me in the mail when I got home. I thought they were for an F-18F, but they are for an "E". Will have to pick one up as I don't have an "E" on the shelves. The decals look super though. Anxious to get going on this one. "Q"

My F-2 decals arrived Thursday...OUSTANDING! Sorry for not acknowledging sooner, but was wrapped-up both Friday and Saturday with the big Centennial of Naval Aviation kick-off here in San Diego. Spent both days out at NAS North Island shooting hundreds of pictures of the centennial aircraft on display. Whew! Finally came up for air today & on-line long enough to log in. Thanks, Tim... can't wait to get started.

Hi Rich.
Sounds like you had a superb weekend. Thanks for letting me know your decals arrived. They are excellent and will look very good against other F-16's on your flightline. Looking forward to seeing your build.
All the best.

I'm throwing my hat in the ring on this one too. Sounds like it'll be a great campaign with agreat group of builders!

I've decided to purchase my own set of decals and pull out one of the few jets in my stash, a good ol' A-10 Hog! It's the Revell kit I picked up at the IPMS show and swap here in Indy last year. Looks like a good kit, although I'm struggling with whether I should sand it down and engrave the panel lines? That just sounds like a very painful task to me

I saw these birds about as up close and personal as a C-DAT would ever want to get over in the sandbox, and BOY! They are damned impressive!

I picked up the Verlinden update set and I'll put in my order for the decals this weekend. I saw Justin already slapped one o these bad boys together and it looked as horrible as all his other builds! hope mine turns out twice a crappy! HAHA! Looking forward to this first campaign of the year for myself and the rest of you too!!! Slainte!!!

Hi Ray
A big welcome to the campaign. Great choice with the A-10. I remember seeing these at a gunnery range in the UK and man is the sound of that gun impressive.
All the best.

Haha! No worries, I've got my heart set on the A-10 and this is the perfect "excuse" to have a go at it! I wouldn't say never to a Tomcat build though... That ribbon looks pretty sweet and IPMS is in town again next month. I really would like to do at least 2 campaigns a year. So Justin, if I can score a nice kit at the swap I'll add another jet to my collection, and I might even haveta get some Afterburner decals to go with it!!! Are there oak leaf clusters for campaign ribbons??? HAHA!!!

I'm with you on that one! Been fiddling about here in the man-cave, got the awesome Zvezda Bf109 on the mat right now... so I popped open the A-10 to have a look at what I'm gonna be dealing with, and frankly I think I'm just gonna leave it be. The panel lines are very fine and low profile. I would absolutely destroy and have to recreate way to much detail, might as well just sculpt and mold the whole damned thing myself!

Unfortunatly, due to 80 hour work weeks I'm gonna have to drop out of this and quite a few other campaigns. Since I had originally planned on sharing my decals with Jeremy, I'll just send him the whole packet. Sorry guys.

Hi Hermon, that's a real pity, we are going to miss your build and your input. Hope things at work settle down a lot more, 80 hours is a long time.
All the best and take care.
