Looking great Lars.
Just one question, in all the pictures I have seen of this aircraft the frames of the fuselage have been battleship grey. Did the painters actual paint over the frames as well with this plane?
Not picking at all just wondering.
Now you have the fun bit of the rigging.. Eek!

Hi
I can´t tell for sure, this is my guess, there were nothing mentioned in the instructions.
The rigging yes, that´s just the reason for buildning WW1 birds
That´s the most funny part of all.

HI Larsa:

This is really looking neat. First one I have seen finished in this scheme and you did an outstanding job. Looking forward to seeing how you approach the rigging.

Best

That is what makes us a special breed of modelers. I have seen modelers work magic with scratch building and painting, and they wont do an early aviation subject because they are scared of rigging. It is nice to be in our little corner of the universe.

Thanks Dani and Alex.
Building model is one thing, taking pictures off them is another thing The lights I use when the camera is on are two Osrams Halogen ECO, 42w=52w, 580 Im. Now you may sayTHAT???,but you should look after "Classic light" labels on the bulb package.
Using two lamps gives me control over the shadows and I can put the shadows where I want. Using a monocolour backgrund is always a good help for the camera focusing on the right stuff.

@ Lars, hi there mate. I found the secret to successful WNW PE belts is to anneal them before you paint them. They are easy to bend then and take much less effort to get right.

I too was going to get the Britfish decals but don't think I will be building another F.2b for a while. Have enough others to build at the moment!

Keep at it Lars. Like most biplanes they seem to come together very quickly right at the end.

Hi Time for some updates folks.
Halvesway thru the riggings,I have used an old flat Lycra thread I got years ago. It´s a Gold-Zack, but sadly they have taken this flat thread off the market.Still there´s the controlcables to put in the Brisfish.Anyway here´s the pics.

Hi Larsa,

Very nice work with the lycra thread – pitty its not for sale anymore – wonder what happened to the flat RAF wires that WNW announced some time ago now.

Keep up the great work – this is a stunning build.

You always amaze me my friend ! Very well done so far . Pre-shading is fantastic , and spectacular job on the rigging so far ! Looking forward to the next up-date .

Does the lycra thread have elasticity to it ?

Hi Mikael
Thanks, I´m also waiting for that WNW thread,
Ther old Gold-Zack thread I used for the Brisfish is very old so this is the first model used it on, a little bit on the thin side for 1/32 scale.

Hi Terri
Thanks, yep this thread is the same as the other Lycra elastic but flat.
