I am getting onboard with a 1/48th Scale Hobbycraft A-4E. I have the new Furball Decals Skyhawk sheet on the way and my plan is to build a low-viz USMC hump-back E-model. Looking forward to this one.
Regards, Ian
It is a fact that under equal conditions, large-scale battles and whole wars are won by troops which have a strong will for victory, clear goals before them, high moral standards, and devotion to the banner under which they go into battle.

I have 137 or so kits downstairs waiting for build. So, I suppose this would be just as good a place to randomly pick one and do it ! ( I hope I dont pick the 350 Scale USS Enterprise...)

Anyway, I'm joining in with this one - my wife is always moaning "I wouldn't mind you buying all those models,if you built them all!", so I'm going to build the model + decals my wife bought me for Christmas - a rather rare and short-lived subject

Brian when you said Enterprise I thought you meant the Star Trek ship. Completely forgot the carrier for a few seconds. Whats the deadline? I've got so much going on over the next few months I want to be sure I have time before I commit.
On the bench: 1/72 Mosquito, Lightning F.6, DH.2,
AMT Vulcan Shuttle Surak.
Cyber-Hobby 1:35 Sherman Firefly IC - still stalled.

That's a good one, which looks very impressive when it's finished. Watch out for the slightly sloppy fit of the top and bottom fuselage halves, and the potential for nasty gaps under the wing leading edge. Those two traps are made up for by a really nice cockpit, weapons bay and landing gear. Then it's topped off by the bright colour schemes available. Low-viz? What's that?

It's been years since I built mine, but I recall that the exhaust needs some TLC to close neatly because sanding out any mismatch would destroy the lovely detail inside. Everything else is your typical Monogram '90s 1/48 kit. There's even a throttle in this one, unlike so many of Monogram's kits. Mine was produced when the moulds were new; you may see some flash in yours.
