If this is official campaign I am going for a TSR-2 if that is okay. It was only in its development stage but it was to be a strategic bomber. If not will have to go for a B17.

Cheers

A TSR2 would be acceptable certainly.

It looks like we are above 10 so I went ahead and submitted the campaign for a May 2014 start date, though I am sure that is subject to change considering what may already be submitted.

I just decided to join up. Have one of the recent issue Revell B-17G that should fit the bill nicely. Looking forward to this!

Cheers!

I'm glad to see this campaign approved.

Van, I'm just wondering if the PBY Catalina would be considered a bomber, considering that it dropped depth charges on subs and such?

Would an A 10 be pushing the bomber moniker too far? Had my eyes on the Italieri A 10 for a while

Ah - looking at the requirements, this would be thrown out on the number of operators in the cockpit... nvm

Hey all,

I would have to say no to the A-10, though I am indeed partial to Warthogs. The Catalina (Sorry for the late reply) as a patrol bomber would be acceptable. Let that go for other patrol bombers too as long as they meet the engine and crew requirements.

If the Catalina would class as a bomber, would a Nimrod? I know it is a "Long Range Patrol Aircraft" and it certainly carried Torpedoes and depth charges but I'm not sure about bombs. Could the Nimrod carry bombs? It could certainly ruin the day of anything maritime it took a dislike to.

What about the Short Sunderland?

I'm just curious, I have several bombers that will classify without these two being needed so I'll happily take part too.

Those are fine too, the point of the campaign is more to get people to take some of those big kits out of the stash and maybe get to work!

For our campaign ribbon, why not use the image of a B2 from overhead against a Red and Yellow Airbrush type background. Jessie can you put this together?

Wow, that's eye-gougingly garish! Let me see if I can do something a little more tasteful.
Something like this perhaps?
