Rare Planes kits are pretty good, especially if you've got one of the late production ones with the metal parts. If not, you'll need a good parts bin for engine, propeller, wheels, seats and the like.

Just my luck, no metal parts. I'm not too afraid of creating an interior, I may have to invest a a couple of small kits for other bits.

Anyone have experience with Vac Wings kits? I was eyeing their 1/48 Heinkel He 51 and this campaign kind of makes me want to buy it.

Well, just enlisted in this one. Got a Welsh Models vacform Varsity, or an Anigrand resin XF-108...

Drat! I'm on the finishing stages of a 1/144 Formaplane Avro York and a 1/144 Welsh models Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer.

Ho-hum... I'll just have to buy some more vacform and resin kits.

The wife will understand...

Not really sure what the vac and/or resin part of this is. Do you have a conversion in mind?

Are vac conversions eligable? I've seen that Airmodel do a vac conversion for a Vickers Valetta/Varsity that uses wings and other parts from the ye olde Airfix Wimpy. Seeing as I have one of those in the scrap pile and never done a vac, it might be a good starting point. Not sure a fiddly WW1 plane is the right choice for me.

Yes, please, the more the merrier. Conversions are a great way to break into vac and resin

Cool. The kit is also dirt cheap so it's not breaking the bank if it doesn't work. Should have most of the decals I need in spares. I'll get one ordered.

The kit I'm looking at doesn't include any props or spinners. Wonder if a resin 4-bladed set for a Typhoon or Tempest would work?
