I dreamed a method to make the removable wings work.
I added some wedges scarfed from .040 styrene sheet to overcome the sagginess of the interleaving fingers, and force the wings up to the proper angle.
I had already placed little patches of sand paper too, to increase the holding friction.
The wings are now on. The wing root gap is not invisible, but its dam close.
Just need to mount the engines and tires now.

Jonathan,
Both jets look fantastic.
Your wing mounting system is really quite unique, and works perfectly. I'm more then impressed.

In February I started with the build of this 1/72 Italeri NF-5 but I left it unfinished in a corner for far to long, now with the end date of this campaign rapidly approaching I needed to finish it and as this is a national pride campaign what better day than today as it's our Kings day here in the Netherlands.
Overall fit is OK however there are some points that need attention,....
I added details to the canopy opened the extra engine intake and added some extra antennas to make it more the lively,..
No pre-shading, I might be tempting to some post-shading but this bird looked not to dirty when it flew with the Royal Dutch Air Force.
Decals out of the box are used and these turned out to be fine.
I need to add a few more decals but for now I will let it as it is
Will give it a wash of some sort for the panel lines before it go's on the shelf but for the moment i let it rest,.. need to figure out what kind as I do not want a heavy wash, anyway.
Thanks for watching

Lap Man, looks great, almost finished
Excellent work Jan! I like that ventilator on the left side.
As usual the last week of the campaign bring out a number of interesting models!

Some fantastic builds coming along.
I love the interior of that helicopter!
My Tiger Moth is finally painted and ready for decalling. Like a fool I hand painted it when I should have airbrushed. While I have kept brush marks to a minimum it has taken a couple of coats to get a solid colour without the primer coat showing. The longer drying time of enamel gloss has really slowed me down somewhat too. A lesson learned when dealing with primary colours I suppose.
Anyway, I don't think it looks too shabby.
I've already added another one of these to the stash, this time the wartime trainer boxing. I will be sure to airbrush that one!

Thanks for all your comments.
Gonzalo Cordero, I saw your Flyingdragon. In VN today, old VNAF A-37s were sent to museums, maybe expired or lacked of parts.
I started the exterior of my helo, changing Sh (aimed) to PL (anti-submarine). So, it took more time.
Give me 3 "nights" to paint and complete this stuff.
Ben , I hope you agree
Regards,
K.

Here is my completed entry:-
This model was a lot of work trying to correct some of the shape/length of castings.
This aircraft only made one flight before the project was canceled.
Thank you for the campaign!

Hi Mr K, ours were in service until 2009 when they were replaced by Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucanos, and transferred to Uruguay, Looking forward to see Your completed helo.

Quite an interesting and impressive final week, as is often the case.
Gonzalo that little Cessna is perfect,
Raj, beautiful result from an old and challenging kit,
Richard, very interesting project, nice result, also from a difficult kit.
three more national flags added to the gallery. by my reckoning we have represented
South Africa
United Kingdom
New Zealand
USA
Germany
Denmark
Netherlands
India
Canada
Ecuador
I think a week more could bring one or two more finishers as well as Mr K's Kamov.
I hope Ben gets back to a place where he can play with model airplanes eventually.

I think I'll give you all two weeks to finish this off. 15 May will be it. Get cracking, and good luck!

Great news. I was hoping to get my decalling done this weekend, but my other half has plans so I won't be able. Does she not know I have a Tiger Moth to finish?
2 weeks will be plenty to finish without rushing.
