I'm joining Michael with a Morane for this campaign



Just have to finish up my Albatros DV first.



Really Looking forward to this build as the kit was given to me by a colleague at our model club.

I have the Roden 1/48 BE2c, pics to follow soon. Wife is off work at the moment so modelling time is badly affected. Build is likely to start in 2015 after I finish my Cub for the Seaplane campaign, unless I get impatient. BE2C arrived on the Western front in January 1915 and I will change the scheme to an early one in natural linen if possible.

Started my Campaign build blog:

Seeing that I'm modeling Early Aviation exclusively past two years, making it a Double "VS" (or adversaries) campaign entry - expect two aircraft that soldiered on in the 1918 (might do a 1914-1915 later in 2015). Not like I've had anything else on my build queue that's not EA.

"no holds barred" decorated OAW Fokker D.VII - "Seven Swabians"

and

as far as regulations allowed "Artful Dodger" - SE.5a "Hisso"

I recently had this kit arrive on the porch. So being as this campaign is already eindecker heavy im switching my build subject to special hobby's 1/48 sopwith tabloid, most likely in the RNAS scheme shown on the box. This kit looks great in the box i cant wait to get started, hopefully in february sometime.

am looking forward to getting started soon have a few projects on the bench to clear up first and I am looking forward to trying the Build blog out. lots of cool looking kits on the table ya'll. I have a great love for WW 1 aircraft and have always been leary of trying to build one. but here goes nothing.

No problem, sometimes we use shorthand phrases without thinking. In this instance, a build blog means you start as separate topic thread over in the Early Aviation Forum to post pictures and descriptions of your build. You would post a link to that "blog" in this thread so folks know where to go to check out what you're doing. If you need help on how to insert that link into a post here, let me know!

My Ca.20 project Gets started with a look at what the kit provides.

I'm in with another Morane, this time the type I in service with Imperial Russia. The Morane 'Bullet' first flew in July 1914 and entered service as a fighter/scout the following year.




A quick test fit has shown that it fits fairly well. The cockpit has no interior detail whatsoever so I'll be filling it up with a pilot.

Work begins on the Caproni

Seems very lonely in this campaign at the moment.
But until people turn up here's more progress on the Morane



Cockpit detail completed and now ready to join the two halves together.
