Good evening all
I'm joining Michael with a Morane for this campaign
Just have to finish up my Albatros DV first.
Really Looking forward to this build as the kit was given to me by a colleague at our model club.
Can't wait to see what else is going to be built.
Regards all
Martin

I have the Roden 1/48 BE2c, pics to follow soon. Wife is off work at the moment so modelling time is badly affected. Build is likely to start in 2015 after I finish my Cub for the Seaplane campaign, unless I get impatient. BE2C arrived on the Western front in January 1915 and I will change the scheme to an early one in natural linen if possible.

Ok, thread started in Early Aviation as Canvas Falcons-1 Roden be2c. Thanks Michael for starting this, it would have been a shame to let the KOTS format die completely

Many interesting subjects. I will be following this GB closely. Unfortunately I won't be participating this year, hopefully next. I am especially interested in the Pfalz eindekker.

Started my Campaign
build blog: Seeing that I'm modeling Early Aviation exclusively past two years, making it a Double "VS" (or adversaries) campaign entry - expect two aircraft that soldiered on in the 1918 (might do a 1914-1915 later in 2015). Not like I've had anything else on my build queue that's not EA.
"no holds barred" decorated OAW Fokker D.VII - "Seven Swabians"
and
as far as regulations allowed "Artful Dodger" - SE.5a "Hisso"
Like, follow, find out what I've had for breakfast - your large scale frenemy starter kit.

I recently had this kit arrive on the porch. So being as this campaign is already eindecker heavy im switching my build subject to special hobby's 1/48 sopwith tabloid, most likely in the RNAS scheme shown on the box. This kit looks great in the box i cant wait to get started, hopefully in february sometime.

Martin,
No problem, sometimes we use shorthand phrases without thinking. In this instance, a build blog means you start as separate topic thread over in the
Early Aviation Forum to post pictures and descriptions of your build. You would post a link to that "blog" in this thread so folks know where to go to check out what you're doing. If you need help on how to insert that link into a post here, let me know!
Michael

Slow but steady progress on the Morane.
Initial primer for the figure.
Work started on the cockpit interior.
More images as work evolves.

My Ca.20 project
Gets started with a look at what the kit provides.

I'm in with another Morane, this time the type I in service with Imperial Russia. The Morane 'Bullet' first flew in July 1914 and entered service as a fighter/scout the following year.
A quick test fit has shown that it fits fairly well. The cockpit has no interior detail whatsoever so I'll be filling it up with a pilot.
On the bench: 1/72 Mosquito, Lightning F.6, DH.2,
AMT Vulcan Shuttle Surak.
Cyber-Hobby 1:35 Sherman Firefly IC - still stalled.

Seems very lonely in this campaign at the moment.
But until people turn up here's more progress on the Morane
Cockpit detail completed and now ready to join the two halves together.
more images shortly

If you squint, and pretend really hard, you just might convince yourself that there's an airplane somewhere in this picture

Hanging together by friction isn't really a good idea
But it's definitely looking much more like an airplane now

Well, you know that Monoplanes are easier, right? I've got a start on anchoring the rigging by gluing on two of my famous twisted wire loops.
