I have had an idea that I hope will have quite a broad appeal for a campaign. Taking my cue from the current National Pride campaign, my idea has two options. Basically, I propose that entrants build an aircraft built by your own country, but in the service of of another nation - OR you could build an aircraft built by another nation, but in the markings of your own country. Usual rules would apply - any scale you like.

Forum - over to you - any thoughts would be most welcome.
Cheers Everybody!

I like it. I've been preparing some subjects this year of Polish forces in foreign service during WWII like the French made MS-406 fighters in service with the Polish Groupe de Chasse Polonaise in the Battle of France.

American Spitfires!

British Kittyhawks!

Soviet Airacobras!

As a matter of fact, I should have some CP Air decals arriving in the mail soon. It might be time for another DC-3.

It's tempting, but rumblings over on another forum claim that it's about 10mm too short to be a proper -4B. It's more in line with a regular -4 but without the extended wingtips and pinion tanks.

Besides which, neither of those two I posted are a -4B; they're Comet 1s, which I already have

Sounds interesting! So, just a wild thought - how many nations flew the Bf 109 beside Germany ...?

I believe that before the buchons Spain operated Doras and possibly Emils. The germans left much of their kit with Franco's Spain when they left.

Czechoslovakia definitely operated captured/inherited bf's after capitulation.

Maybe this is some inspiration for you, folks. Some of my "under foreign flag" aircrafts ....

Over the years I've build more than these and some of them are really old but most of them (after 2011) you can also see at my Assembly Line Thread in the WW2 Forum.

Howdy Y'all
This sounds like a great idea for a campaign. Count me in. I've always wanted to build an AVG P-40 in Chinese markings and shark teeth. I've got a 1/32 Trumpeter P-40B in the stash. I know there are some shortcomings with the kit's shallow cockpit but I'd still build it SOOB.
Look forward to it.
Take Care,
Don "Lakota"
