Nice scratch building on your seat armor Daniel! Looks like an accurate miniatures seat, What model mustang are you building?

Rounding the corner into the final week Ive got the bulk of my paint done, amd im pretty happy with it, some touch ups to be done yet and I'm continuing to plug away at all the dangly bits. Plenty of time!

Hi folks and dear Pricklehead,
at last I'm running to the finish line as you can see, but...
I probably won't make it in time
Would it be possible to get a short extension, say, one week? Would be great
Cheers Peter

Hi again,

nice progress on the last builds!

This is probably as far as I can get today (I will work a bit more but cannot take the final pictures). Almost done but still some tweaks and fixes needed (e.g. exhausts and Bombs). All in al I am quite happy so far, though the flat coat eats a lot of the variation in colour (esp. on pictures).

all the best

Daniel, your drop tanks look great! Very well done!

Steffen, your A-36 is almost there. Youve made terrific progress in this short time!

It saddens me to admit that I cant respectably finish my mustang today. A week would be enough to get her done if granted. If not, work will continue!! I need something off the bench for a change

Cheers Mike! I did make it yesterday evening (local - see the BuildLOG) but I could not take my photos then.

Here are two pix of the finished model (posted in the campaign gallery)

More pix are in my build log: here

Well, as PrickleHead hasn't been around for awhile, I'm going to go ahead and approve a 2 week extension. This campaign will now officially end on 15 August. So get to work everyone, 'cause that'll be it!

Thank you Paul and Peter!

Peter: Normalerweise sind ein paar Tage kein Problem. Jetzt gibts sogar zwei Wochen.

Michael: Thank you for your good work! It sure is nerve wrecking when the campaign leaders leave without a word. Also thanks for the extension... I almost would not have needed it

Hi Steffen, ich weiß, ich hab ja schon eine Mustang hier fertig, aber die Red Baron hatte ich eigentlich hier als erste vorgesehen, daher freue ich mich, dass ich sie noch in die Gallery kriege

Ive hit a setback on my P51b, I managed to wreck one of the "You've had it!" decals. After much gnashing of teeth and some self deprecation Im back on mission. Ive located some replacements and they are inbound.

Ive got some touch ups to do from where I removed the bungled decal and still need to work on the drop tanks and landing gear. Might just make it!
