Nice work, John! And your offer is accepted. I'll launch the new campaign on 1/1/18 with your name on it.
Just a few days left on this one, folks.

Looked all the way back to January 10 to see what I needed to do to finish my Hanger Queen:
Glue up, fill and sand the spinner.
Prime the spinner (yellow stripe), propeller blades, exhaust manifolds and rear tire (made from rubbery material).
Paint the spinner and propeller tips yellow
Paint the wheels in Mr. Color Tyre
Paint propellers black
Paint exhausts rusty
Touch up interior green bits
Red stripes on spinner
Touch up canopy frame
Detail Radios
Install radios
Put instrument panel back in
Add pilot
Wire up antenna and canopy and glue in place
Assemble propeller
Add antenna
Glue up landing gear and install
install rear wheel
Install gear doors
Install exhaust
Add Decals
Install wing tanks
Declare victory?
I'm about 1/3 done with the decals, so the starboard side, prop, drop tanks and the dreaded nose checkerboard (one has already been destroyed in the effort ) are left to decal.
Then on to the final glue ups, clear coat? and victory?

Two decals to go, the dreaded checkerboard nose. Only lost one drop tank decal last nigh so I'm feeling hopeful

You can do it Mark I have faith in you! Subdue that build!

Well Chris, thanks for the support. But I let you down. I cut the bottom half of the decal into 2 parts. Both tore, I managed to get the starboard part on OK, but the bottom of the port side tore off into little pieces and I couldn't get them all placed back together.
Hard to tell from the pics.
Oh well, on to the fiddly bits.

Unbelievable...
But I finished the MIG-17 on time and uploaded a picture in the campaign gallery. I know, three are required but the gallery does not permit me, I am apparently exceeding my 10Mb threshold.
I can't say that I am very pleased with how this model turned out. It's an old SMEG model. It ended up on the shelve because it was poor quality to begin with and because I made it into a tail sitter by not checking in time whether an additional nose weight was required.
That problem was solved by pushing strips of lead into the front nose. To my surprise these are totally invisible.
I replaced the yellowed and thick SMEG decals with a set from printscale. These turned out to be of much better quality but very very thin, making it very difficult to slide on the model.
Anyway, this one is done!!!
Up to the next Hangar queen (or would it be a king this time ?)

Speaking of DONE!
Well, I managed to finish 2 Hangar Queens this year but, I created a new one in the process . Of course those two took since 2010 to get finished.
Well, I still have more candidates for Hanger Queen 8

Very close now Alan. The stripes look great!
Everyone else make sure to get your pics into the gallery.
I'll have to figure out how to/who to talk to about getting everyone their ribbons.
I'll post a list of who is done with what this afternoon or tonight.
Still a little time to finish up, otherwise (like I usually end up doing) there is always HQ8...

Alan, great build. The colored bands really makes a nice contrast to the overall grey Camo. Congrats on finishing!
I am also calling this one done. I still need to finish a separate base. The Bf 110T is a what-if close support fighter bomber.
It has been a fun build and interesting to have fantasy run a little loose on this project. I learned a lot on the pixel camouflage and will get it better on the next turn around.
This bird has been in the works for a long time. Now it is finally finished before the closing line.
Comments welcome

The digi-cam is quite striking. I've got a modern Chinese airborne APC to do in pale to dark blues to get back to..
That big gun though.. Whoa!
That's one of those 'fire more than two rounds, stall the plane' caliber weapons for sure! - grin-

Nice builts!,
On the last day of the year i could finish the kit selected for the 1967 war campaign that unfortunately i could not finish.
Nice kit the revel 1/72 scale mig-21 but it needed a bit of putty.
cockpit details
With a bit of work it turns out ok.
missiles are from Eduard end the decals DPCasper.cz
All good luck in 2018, and keep on modeling!

Well, I am finished in time but could only upload one picture in the gallery due to space restrictions that according to Staff_Jim will be solved end January.

All right gents, stick a fork in HQ7, she's done!
Medals are awarded.
Drabslab, you're good by me. drop me a line if your medal is not there. I've had TONS of trouble with the gallery as well.
If I missed someone or if you've had gallery trouble but posted here in the thread, drop me a line as well.
Thanks to all for putting up with my ham-fisted attempts to 'manage' a campaign.
Passing the mantle over to Michael, and headed back to the bench for HQ8!

Thanks Mike,
Staff_Jim is promising a solution by the end of this month for the gallery issues. Lets see Usually, programming and delays are synonym I'll upload a few extra pictures when the site permits.
