i'm currently decalling my F-16CJ.
I hope i can finish, but it's very complicated due to christmas time in Alsace .
Lot of family and friends are visiting us, and my girlfriend is not so happy when i go modelling during my sparetime.

You can do it, Franck. Tell her it's safer if you're not around people for a little while.

Good luck Franck! I'm fortunate my wife supports my "addiction" whilst not really understanding it.
Well I've been working as quickly as I can on my Tomcat it's going together reasonably well. But guess who missed the fact that the leading edges are plain aluminium? This guy! So another furious masking session later and looking good!
Decals up next! Ordnance and airframe both have a reasonable supply of stencils.

Oh great. I finally get to the decals and find out they've gone LOW vis on the national insignia for this kit.
Not a single star and bar insignia on this sheet anywhere. I'm sure I could source some somewhere, but why? I'll get the rest of the decals on and call it done...

Hey Mates,
you build beautiful Jets. They look great.
One week left. Hundreds of Decals to put on.
I will get it finished untill sunday. Looks positiv
The GWH F-15 I is a wonderful Kit. I enjoy the building very much but made some mistakes during the build (Decals, Painting, etc.). I ordered another one for the next Terrible Teens Campaign
Regards
Chris

Well Chris, this one has the opposite problem. There are only 7 decals on this kit. They omitted the national insignia, the turbine warning band, the emergency ejector warnings, the full up builder's block.
Well I've got them all on, now I have to clean up the finish and get the fiddy bits in place.

Only 1 word: Finish !
Posted: Wednesday, December 13, 2017 - 06:15 PM UTC
Franck, looks great. Congratulations on finishing. I got part of the landing gear on last night. This one is going to run to the wire for me...

Front gear done. Main gear in place, probably no where close to the actual locations. Got the boarding ladder painted, the canopy actuator installed and some of the underwing ordinance glued to the pylons. I could finish this on time..

And we're done! Well the tanks are just pushed into place they need weathering but the airframe is done and here is the proof.

I am however having issues loading the pics into the gallery, I've checked the size and they're all around 550kb so not too large. Any ideas oh leading lights of our admin team?

I feel your pain. I've got the MLG doors on, spent the night painting the AIM-9s. Once the gear doors have set a bit, I'll start hanging the stores. It's a race to the wire.
And who decided on a load out with 2 AIM 9-Ls and 2 AIM 9-Ps?

Chris,
Nice work! I don't know why you're having trouble uploading. I do know there were some issues reported a few days ago but I thought they'd been fixed and I don't think they affected the galleries anyway. What's it doing?

Hi Michael I was getting a HTTP 500 error, I did find a work around of sorts I uploaded them singly so now pics are in the relevant galleries. My thanks for your help though.

It's over. My nearly 8 year long ordeal with this kit is done.
I started in January of 2010 Kitech F-16.
Quite possibly my first kit with an open office.
Thanks for the extension, I still ran down to the wire. Great work everyone! I'm ready to try another terrible teen or a century series build. Just not with another Kitech kit

Hey mates,
I've finished my F-15. Thank you for the extension. Without that I thought it would get lost undone in the dark of my cabinet

Well, the time has come to bid this one a fond farewell. Thanks to all who participated and congrats to those who finished (unlike your's truly)!
Ribbons are being awarded as we speak, so let me know if you didn't get one and think you should. See you all around the airfield!

Thanks Michael. Ran this one to the wire. Feels good to get one Hanger Queen to the finished shelf.
