Well.... It looks like I've entered all 8 Hanger Queens. But I've only managed to finish 4 (5 if I pull this one off). So I'm hardly the King of Queens. Love to help run a campaign.

I think I've been just every Unfinished campaign on Armorama. I have one ribbon. I have been in the last 2 or 3 of Model Shipwright's Dry Docked campaigns, with 1 ribbon. But where there is life (and paint and glue), there is hope.

I see that I have been trying to finish the Monogram F8F Bearcat for the last 4 Hanger Queens It was even the goal for this HQ, until I cratered on the F-94 in the paint shop

Latest hangar queen off the shelf of shame and getting some bench time.
Is it still ‘weathering’ in space? Bandai MP-02A Oggo. More of a weathering testbed than a serious build, seams abound and I’m ok w it. Still a WIP.

Hi All,
After all the work done, all that needed to be done was some touch up of the red and blue. Using low tack masking tape I did the red, and while removing the tape I noticed that the decals were trying to lift. So I lightly applied the tape for the blue areas, and tried my best to get some coverage. Removal of this tape also was pulling off the fragile decals.
AT this point I called it a done deal.
So off came the masks from the canopy, and to add insult to injury, the canopy had become cracked, and the control stick had broken free of the plane and "Bob" the pilot, only to be hopelessly lodged behind the pilots headrest!
So here it is, Academy's 1/48 F-16A Thunderbird...
My overall thoughts on this kit are this:
Pro's - fabulous recessed detail, looks great in the box, and very affordable.
Con's - Nothing fits, putty every seam, decals are horrible.
conclusion: If you want to do a 1/48 F-16 Thunderbird, pay a little more for the Hasegawa kit, I know it goes together nicely and the decals are great including a decal for the pilots helmet. I imagine the Tamiya kit would also be worth it. The Monogram kit also is superior to this kit regarding fit and decals.
Now onto something a bit more rewarding! We've only got a little over a month left on this Hangar Queen build, so get em wrapped up, or feel free to slide right into Hanger Queen 9! I know I'll be here!!

Hello all I am going to withdraw from this build as I received a kit of my favorite aircraft. A 1/48 Beechcraft D17 Staggerwing. I want to concentrate on it.

Hi all
It's been a long time since I've been around here. My entry for this campaign will be the Italeri 1/72 C-47 Skytrain. I almost entered it for Hangar Queen 2... It's further along than it was then and I want it done before the year is out. I'll post a picture of it's current state soon.
Cheers
Damian

I'm giving up on my build for this campaign. My heart just isn't in it. This lets me turn my attention to the He 111 for the "Bomber 2" campaign.
I hope to be working on another kit for "Hangar Queens 9".

Hey Gary, don't feel bad, there's a reason it's called "Hangar Queens"!
When you get the time, come on back!
For the rest of you all, time is ticking down to a new year, so get-em done, or sign up for next year!

John,
Interesting in leading Hanger Queen 9? You're doing a great job here!

Thanks Michael,
The F-16 was a real bug-a-boo. Though, the nieces love it, so no telling what our work benefits!
Here's to more completed projects, and know that I'm more than willing to take on 2019! Hopefully, a better turnout this time around.

Nice finish! Congratulations!
Hopefully, we can a few more over the finish line.
Michael, I'd be happy to host 2019.

GAHHHHH!! Two more stupid mistakes and I'm not going to make the end of the campaign. I didn't close my Olive Drab paint properly and its dried out. It will take a couple of weeks before I can get some more... I'll post some pics when done.
Congrats everyone that finished
And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! I hope 2019 is a great year for you.
