Finished off the detail painting last night and is now dry and ready for the weathering stage . I used various metal shades for the piping and fittings to break up the uniforum shade of just alum .

Thanks guys
More progress , weathering is done with it's seal coat of Testors clear flat lacquer and rest of the wing parts fixed in place . The red scoop didn't fit very well . A fare bit of body work is needed before the painting stage .

Chris , not sure of it being a work of art . There is still a million ways for me to mess this up .

Spent the week doing the filling and sanding , more filling and sanding and this part is finished until a coat of primer goes on revealing even more filling and sanding . Haven't started with the cowl yet . Waiting for a 32 scale rivet tool coming in the mail from Ultracast .
While I was waiting the putty to dry I started work on the prop and wheels and these are ready to go with just a bit of weathering left which will be done towards the finishing line .

Probably the best 1/32 gear bay I’ve seen, and definitely one of the best scratch work in pipes & wires. Superb!

Terri,
The prop/hub assembly, as well as the wheels and tires, really came out looking great. Both certainly will move your build up a notch or two on the ladder scale.

Thanks guys for positive comments . I must admit that not much progress has been made , had out of town company for awhile . I did make start on detailing the gear legs with brake lines and their fittings . Will have some pic's up in a few days .

Hi Terri.
I haven't checked in on this build for a while (busy with Automodeler shenanigans), you have made some super progress! The detailing in those wheel wells is just awesome. I will be checking in a lot more regularly now, looking forward to the next instalment.
Cheers, D

Very sorry for the late reply back D , been busy of late and start a WW 1 build for a group build on another site . I have made some progress . Landing legs are done with just some detail painting left to do and I made a start on rest of the body working which is almost finished as well . As soon as my batteries are charged will be able to take some pic's for you folks .
