...I was planning to rob my italeri kit of some extra missile stores. However, I decided against it after building the Mirage. The lines are so beautiful - I do not want to break them with missiles...
I agree entirely!

OK, so my original plan was to do a 1/48 Eduard Mirage for this one. But I've been having a look at something similar that I started a while back and then lost my mojo when the resin cockpit didn't fit as advertised, the Wingman/Kinetic Nesher. So now I'm asking for a group ruling. Is this less that 25% started?
As I said, I have the Eduard Mirage to fall back on, but I thought I'd ask.

I do not see why you can't use it. IMHO There looks like you still have a lot of work ahead of you on the aircraft. go for it.
Modelling is something we never perfect. We should never quit learning new tricks and be willing to share what we have learned on our own.

Hi Michael,
I put it at 20%, and here's why. Fuselage and each wing at 33%, less the intakes at 5% a pop, less the nose cone at 3%, depending on fit.

Michael;
I don´t have any problem.... the Kinetic kit have a lot of problems.....
The wing tanks of 1.700 liters are from a Mirage 2000, not for a M3/5.

Interesting calculus John! Thanks all, I think I'll give this one a whirl. It's been bugging me having it sitting in the box.
Definitely Israeli, of course!

Hi friends!
This is my first campaign ever in Armorama. After many years without building an aircraft, it's time to pick an old fighter from the shelf. IMO, the most beautiful modern fighter at this time.
It's a JAS39A Gripen from Revell, at 1/72. I will try to learn how to panelling in a decent way.
As soon as I clean my bench, I'll start with her.
Regards!

Yes, you are absolutely right. I switched to this forum because it is much more active and varied in its campaigns. He doesn't just do two campaigns a year.

Good to see you again!! I was not very active there, as I usually build on 1/35 or dioramas. I was 'nachoc25' there.

First steps on the Gripen.
It's an easy kit to ensamble, so I hope to let her ready for painting for the end of the weekend.

Quick update.
Already painted. Upper side is darker (XF53) and the lower with Gunze H306. It's also preshaded and some lights in the lower
Finally, glossy coat. I forgot to apply some lights in the upper side, so I'd have to apply lights later.

Well I'd just finished up an AIRFIX lightning and intended to look at this Skyhawk and I'll be danged if I didn't start it. Phase Hanger seat and drop tank, Quick Boost TER's and Aoa decals. So with this GB in the back of my mind here we go...
