Nice scooter Mike, looks great!
Nacho Ive wanted to build one of these swedish fighters for quite a while, this is a perfect excuse, theyre all such sleek, cool looking aircraft.
detailed the cockpit, using the kit parts as theyre pretty good and Im buttoning up the canopy on this one.
added some details to the cockpit sides
and before I knew it it kind of fell together, still not sure on this as I dont get where the propeller goes... weird.
cheers everyone, hope you're all healthy, happy, and safe in this crazy world
Eric.

ok, slow progress creeps along, primed with Mr Surfacer 1500, found a few spots to fill and sand out, reasonably happy so far. Marbled with green and blue-grey.
using MRP olive drab for the green base, amazing paint and it really lets you creep up on the finish, amazing coverage while still allowing subtlety underneath to affect it.
Here's creeping up on the green
Cheers!
Eric.

Some progress:
Not perfect fit, but no major issues either. Ejection seat was bit tight for cockpit, but can be solved with a knife.

Looking good, Pasi
My cockpit is extremely basic. A really old kit, not even a decal for the instrument panel I found some decal seat belts and some decals for the instruments in the spares box. Still extremely basic, but it will have to do.
Tried the new rattle can base coat from Vallejo in sand color. Goes on very smooth and is a good base for the sand color camo.

Great builds in the making here!
At last I started mine last week
Well, the cockpit looks rather terrible on a macro picture
but through human eyes it's quite ok in 1:72

Hello Everyone,
I would just like to show my project for this campaign.
The Trumpeter Russian mig-31B/bm foxhound with eduard big ed PE set.
its a funny story how and why i decided to build this project.
about over a year ago i bought a bargain ICM (condor) mig-31 from eBay. i looked at its details and decided it was garbage. so i bought a big ed PE set to improve it models detail. when the set arrived i thought it was a shame to use the PE set on such a rubbish kit, so i bought the intended mig-31bm model by trumpeter.
the PE set and the trumpeter mig-31bm costed a lot for a kit of this size. thinking back i should have just bought a 1/48 scale mig-31 kit instead. but i don't have much space for a large kit on my shelf due to overpopulation. so i am happy enough this will do.

Hi All,
A quick update on my progress so far! This is a big plane! Despite its age, it's not a bad kit, though it will be odd to do a majority of the work with the bird upside-down!
Stay safe and keep having fun!!

Nice to see good progress on the various builds.
I am making good progress on my Mirage. The camouflage is on, but still need some touch ups and then decalling afterwards.

I am going to have to pull out of this campaign. It is a matter of not enough time and enough experience to do the vacu kit of the CF5 Arrow.

Too bad, Darrell, but I can understand. Sometimes it's better to take a Time-Out from a build, before you lose the interest in finishing it. At the moment I'm brooding over my Viggen, too. It seems to need a lot of putty and then there are some resin parts which will need extra care. But I'm not out yet...
Good luck for your CF-5!

Hi Michael,
today I managed to end my break in building my Saab Viggen and got along a good step, could fit the resin cockpit into the fuselage.
Well, as this campaign is due to end on August 1st, I could sure use a little extension of say, two weeks.
Is it possible? If not, no problem, then I'll switch her to Hangar Queen 10
But maybe there are some others who would like an extension, too.
Cheers
Peter

I can dig that. How about a month? Till September 8th (I like to give a final weekend, if I remember to, and the 8th is a holiday here.)

Thanks Michael, that's great!
Now I'm sure to stay a part of this campaign
Cheers
Peter
P.S. Going on filling and filing in a happier mood...

...and already some progress today:

Nice progress, Peter. The cockpit looks great.
I have made some more progress. I really welcome the extension. Then I do not have to rush the weathering.
The decals are on. Not a lot of them, but they do add some nice color. The blue dots in the French roundels were separate decals. Who came up with that evil challenge? It took some time to get right.
Considering the decals are 30+ years they worked excellent. Super thin and strong. Well done Heller.

Thanks Jesper!!!!
This time I will make a Mirage 3C of the Mendoza Air Brigade in the '80s.
Its very similar to your French AF Mirage.
Your delta looks great!!!!!

Thanks, Jose!
The details are now painted and the first filters added. The pictures show the aircraft in very good condition, so I will keep weathering light.

@Jesper - I love your Mirage, looks great! Congrats
I made some progress on my Viggen, at least I'm slightly content with all resin parts, especially the nose, on now. It's now painting and the two fuselage pylons for the Sidewinders.
That kit keeps me busy indeed....
Cheers
