Hi everybody.
Since I won the turn last time and we exceeded 20 pages of thread at the former Trivia, I think it to be a good idea to start a new one.

It is indeed a Hungarian Mi-24D. Also Jeremy goes on with the next.
There are so few helicopters in our topic that I was thinking a heli picture would be a good idea but it was perhaps too easy:))

Hi Fred!
If I tell you how I found this one, you're going to HATE me! :-)
Here's the next question: What plane is it (easy), what Squadron (more complicated) and what is the story behind that picture?

Hi Chuck and Fred!
Good... and FAST answers! :-)
These Hurricane were handed over by the British to the Soviets. The RAF pilots flew them to Russia, trained the VVS pilots and mechanics, shot down two JU 88s and came back to England... without their planes.

Oh, I'll hand it over to Fred. His answer contained much more information than mine, plus he needs to get revenge for the last question that was answered so quickly. :-)

Hi Fred
The instrument panel is from a VC-118 and the aircraft was Known as Air Force One. As for your flying pig i havn't got a clue.

The City of Cincinnati used the “flying pig” as an unofficial symbol expressive of the role played by the Wright Brothers, in nearby Dayton, of pioneering the entire field of aviation. The statue is displayed in the Cincinnati Airport.
