Andrew , I know what you mean on the Roden decals . I enjoy building their kits so far even with all the fit issue's . You can apply a gloss coat of lacquer over the decals wait until the are dry , just don't leave it to dry over night about a half hour will do . You want the lacquer to be felxable before it really hardens up . When I built my first fokker D.VII on line I had the same trouble with the rib tapes . After a clear coat they worked just fine . You can even use Testors decal film in the spray can or even microscale decal film . I have also notice that their molds wear out really fast .

Burgers aren't food , but a gift from the Gods for our taste buds ! So Ill join you for one , even if it is beef , just take my meds and everything should be okay !

Great Terri. I will remindy you on the med issue, but frankly I think there are a lot of heads here that seem so forget theirs from time to time

Probably won't get on much next week as I am on a course and relying on mobile comms. Modelling will be completely out.
The mouldings for the Strutter had a disappointing amount of flash but cleaned up fairly easily. I have an Eduard Biff in the stash that looks better, includes masks and limited PE but cost 2/3 the price of the Roden strutter, and I bet I have no problems with the Biff decals. Yhe Roden PE is good tho'.
Sometimes the simple things are best, burgers.

". . .How do Roden get away with charging more than avaerage for their kits and supplying rubbish decals Strutter decals dissolved on contact with water, fortunately I only lost two cockades from the fuselage. . .

Actually Roden use to sell their kit for about 20 USD each. Their US distributor changed that when its ownership changed. Several years back MMD was picked up by new owner. They were the exclusive distributor to Roden. He is the one that jacked up prices. If you get in a purchasing coop with MisterkitUSA he buys them directly and you will get a lower cost.

About Roden's decals. They are bound by Government regulations that say everything they sell in their kits has to be manufacturered in Russia or they incure double taxes. They can't even recommend other out of country decal makers.

I've been to the funny farm before and I can assure you that the grass is not greener especially on the north end which doesn't get a lot of sun !

I have three of Eduards biff kits and only one of the Roden , I like the Roden kit better some of the details are a little weak in the cockpick but the details are shaper then the Eduard kit ! Not only that , Roden has a full engine in theirs while Eduards ....................................nuff said !

I'm not bashing Eduard , I love their kits as well

Well, as long as the grass is greener than the fence, everything is ok.

The brews are in the cooler at the back door, because the kitchen is OFF LIMITS today. I'm making spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, along with fresh garlic bread (big slices). For the cheese lovers, we'll have the usual Parmesan as well as fresh shredded chedder and Mozzarella. Man, beer and pasta are AWESOME!!!! I wonder if I can keep my hands out of the pot long enough to get the stuff to the table... I gotta taste test it ya know...

Now , now Tony . No pushing meatballs with your nose after 6 pm . That race was over a few days ago . And if Penny finds out you were in the kitchen with your hand in the pot , well that won't go over very well ..........

Well guy's this has been one adventure which didn't have a happy ending to it at all . I more mad at myself then anything else . I trusted my friend to come through on her promise made to me . And that alone has been a battle . I gaved up lots for this person to move down to Texas . I was happy and very excited as well as looking forward to a change .

Well this will not happen now . Being here in Lethbridge has been nice but battle which I no longer want to fight . even though I'm working and glad that I'm , but after weighting out my options I can't stay here . So I will be moving back to Edmonton on the 23 of this month and will be off line for some time until I can get myself set up once more . I have a place to stay for a few months until I can find work once more .

Since there is some kind of built in censoring here, all I can say is ... darn! After all you went through at the border I can only hope you don't do anything stupit like hiring Leon or a Ninja team to do business.

Anyway, keep your head up and eyes forward, because there is an end to this one too. I had my share of bummers, so I know. Just don't be away too long, y'hear. Allready missing you

Good luck Tony

I also learn something new today as well . Rogers phone and net service has this internet stick !!!! Can access the net from anywhere I go . so I signed up for it . I didn't even know they had such things out there . I will be in touch with you guy's ............

Once again thanks , you guy's are the best !!!!!!

Well, there are a lot to say about modern times, some good and some bad, but keeping in touch is way easier nowadays than before.

So keep in touch! I'll be right here with the rest of the gang! Tony

The sun is shining , no clouds in the sky a very light breeze , beer chilling in the cooler
All hail to the long weekend !!!

For the three days the parking lot out back will be turned into a drive in ( please no throwing stuff at the screen ) it's a rental you know ! There will be BBQ happening with all the fixings , chicken , pork , beef and some weird sausage looking things . Fresh salads straight for Stephens secret book . A fire pit will be on site for those who wish to roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories ( tall tales will be welcomed ) Fire dept will be on hand just in case some one gets a bright idea which gets a little out of hand . Hopefully they will be sober enough to deal with the issue .

For those who feel they can't drive , tent's and sleeping bags will be provided with no wake up calls !
So bring your friends and families and yourself !

That must be the origing of the saying "if you can walk away from the wreck it's a landing, not a crash".

Now, can somebody help me unwind myself out of this ball of firehose, please.
