That's the one Jessica, a great time was had by all ! It all started because Terri was jealous that MY patisserie puts out a higher quality of merchandise than hers. Fine pies and tarts. So she just storms in, while I have a camera crew there filming for a TV special, and starts throwing my days produce at me. The fact that my pies are perfectly balanced in terms of flavour also means that they are perfectly weighted and balanced for throwing, and the ensuing chaos speaks for itself.
Now if you look closely in one of the scenes you can see Terri trying to sneak out the door with one of my recipe books, but I hit her in the back of the head with a 30cm Black Forest tart on a short crust base, bringing her down so that I could retrieve my documents.
Terri might be exceptionally good at building WWI aircraft models, but stealthy she isn't !
I am happy to share a drink with Terri in the bar and we get along just fine, but I have to remind her from time to time that her entire staff is now registered with my facial recognition technology security system.
More Brandy anybody ?

Damian, I would never feed brandy into a facial recognition system. I've done it before, and woken up with a definately other lady than I brought home the day before. Haven't you? On the other hand, I've met a few ladies who have done the same mistake with me. I guess it's a tie between us all

By the way, I have a poster for the bars back wall. Anybody wanna help me hang it? I'm just 5'5".

You're gonna have to get Damian and Jessica to help with that. I'm not much taller than you are.

Too bad. I know a brandy from Damian would make me feel taller, but not actually make me such. Well, not unless it's an Asbach Uralt in any case.

Is that what you got in the stash Damian?

Well Damian , you forgot to them that your cook book is filled with Betty Crocker recipes cut out from back of the box and it was the miss's who did the actual baking of said goods . If you look closely at the footage you can see D running for cover to one of the local bars . When zooming in it clearly shows that it isn't a cook book after all , but one on the P-61 Black Widow . The film crew was not filming a special on your pies , they were there doing a doc on the history of the town for the discovery channel . The food fight started when one of the film crew wanted to view your book , So others wouldn't notice that this isn't really a cook book , this is when the first pie became air borne smoking him right in the face .......then it just started getting out of control . 27 people got injuried by those balanced pie plates with cuts to heads , arms and chest , one chap had to get a glass eye !!!!

Tony , gald to have drop by . I will help hang the poster ...........

OK then, Terry and Damian will hang the poster. Meanwhile Tony and I will do some quality analysis on that bottle of brandy that D brought. Can't have that cheap stuff on the shelves now can we??

This wil involve destructive testing, yes? Brandy is a known inflammable hazard, not to mention what happens when you get it near pastry. It must clearly be removed from the environment as quickly as possible. The most efficient method of removal involves processing it through your liver.

Safety tip: Be sure to drink plenty of water afterwards to ward off dehydration.

Destructive, nah, although the stuff does seem to evaporate quickly after the the lid is opened. And it does require a full evaluation by liver action. A water bath is probably appropriate, as adding frozen water to the fluid does reduce the quality of the sample.

Adding water to the samples is contraindicated; it contaminates them and renders the test results invalid. The water is needed after the testing is complete, to ensure the liver has sufficient water available to properly metabolise the alcohol and render the post-test period more comfortable. Additional prophylactic administration of Acetylsalicilic Acid is also indicated, in amounts of up to 500 mg.

Da'yum. This place gives som really weird experiences. Now, for instance, I know how a guinea-pig feels, and no brandy in the world can erase that knowledge. Better jump over to pre flight check and sniff some glue. Can somebody put on some Ramones, and turn the volume up!

Well, I think that this brandy is kind of suspect, I'll have to run more tests, pour me another one. Glass of ice water (I am an American) on the side.

OTOH, kind of a funny story. I've got less house than stuff right now, so some of the excess (including ~100 kits) is crammed into boxes in the garage and shed. Whilst hunting for something else today, I stumbled over a box labeled "Models" that I didn't recall seeing in a while. It was filled with a box of Metalizer paints, stray bits of wood, plastic and brass for detailing and the partially assembled hulk of an old 1/48 AMT (Aurora?) B-26 Marauder. I haven't seen this stuff for nearly 5 years......

Well, Stephen, I've thoroughly checked out this bottle of brandy. It's passable. There might be enough left for your tea.

Aw, geez Stephen, I had to do a thorough job on the brandy. Didn't want you to be associated with any of the cheap stuff. You didn't have to shut the whole place down for 3 days over it. How about I replace it with one of these?

Will that make you feel better?

See I go crawl under the blankets for a couple of days and somebody hit the kill switch. Well thanks to the antibiotics and great grandma's "hot toddy ressapet" I am coming out of the fog. What did I miss? Somebody hand me a mirror. Just want to make sure Terri's not been about with a bag of makeup & such.

HAHAHA! Saw the snoozing victim/make-up job a couple times in my college dorm. Photos posted in elevator lobbys and dining center before victims woke up....

Hmm, Kinda quiet around here lately.

Stephen, what's the holiday dinner this year?
I'll be working on a home grown cherry pie, sugar cookies and a F2H-2P.

Sorry for the late reply but have been in the kitchen.

Tonight through Saturday I have the crockpots cooking.

1. Texas chilli with jalapenos, hickory smoked beef with red beans.
2. Beef stew with carrots, potatoes, and a prime cut roast beast.

Typical soft drinks and Celestial Seasonings herbal teas.

Fresh hot bread from the oven. Facochia and garlic.

Terri is in the "pink corner" chcking strands of tree lights. I am checking the naughty and nice lists. 20 year Lawson old single malts for the goody bags and the rest of you mugs can get ready to trim the tree.

Now the Christmas fare will be brazzed pepper Turkey. Glazed spiral cut honey Ham. All the fixings from stuffing (onion & sage), Sweet potatoes, black olives, green salads & cranberry jelly.

Pies of the usual sort cherry, dutch apple crum, peach and blueberry. Fresh whpped cream. Pumpkin cheese cake and red velvet cake with a cream cheese topping. (I highly recommend this!)

Dark coffee from Turkey and Brazil with holiday style thick flavored creams.

I have snagged 150 Dominican cigars and 63 bottles of 50 year old brandy with a cherry cognac base.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Stephen that pair of brews sounds irresistibly delicious. I can see a few extra kilos accumulating around my midsection over the next week or so.

My contribution will be a few dozen seared giant tiger prawns with a creamy seafood dipping sauce, mildly spiced with fresh chopped red chili and a hint of mint and lemon. It is statutory law in Australia that this MUST be accompanied by an inexhaustible supply of ice-cold beer, and this years choices will be Wahoo Premium Ale from Gage Roads Brewery and Fat Yak Pale Ale from Matilda Bay Brewery .

Now Terri, there will be NO food fights with the prawns, they're spiky little beggars and you might take someone's eye out ! Let's wait until the New Year celebrations before we get real messy please.

I would like to wish all of my Cafe friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe and prosperous New Year.

Now, let's get cooking !

Cheers, D

Hmm, Chili, Red beans (any rice and corn bread?), Prime rib, Turkey, Ham, Stuffing, Cherry pie, Quality libations and a couple of Micro brews too. Yes, I'll have to count the additional weight in kilos too. It will sound less that the gain in pounds.

I'll just stand over by the tree and try to untangle the !@#$%^&*() lights. Oh scrap, they won't light up either. Guess I'll be over here for a while.....

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you get the plastic you asked for.
