Quite a few releases from Quickboost in 1/48 this month. The Mig-29 air intake and exhaust covers look good. I am not a big fan of resin pitot tubes, but the Delta Dart's look pretty tempting. Those gun barrels for the Hasegawa P-38 look stunning.

Master Details from USA has now been taken over by Maulcor Incorporated and the Company is now MASTER DETAILS. They are currently building their new website, but the great news is that MASTER DETAILS is scheduled to be open for business on the 15th of March 2011.

Kinetic have finally released their much anticipated and much talked about 1/48 Grumman Tracker. Markings are for the USN Sawbucks, VS-37. Decals have been designed by Fightertown and printed by Cartograf. The box is also marked for the S-2E and S-2G so whether these options or all three are available we will have to wait and see.

Iliad Designs have released two intriguing decal sheets for some brightly coloured Hurricanes in 1/72 and camouflaged B-29's in 1/48. After viewing the Hurricane sheet, I feel the need to buy a couple of Hurricane kits and paint them red and blue ready for these decals.

Profiline are to release two brand new models of the MD 520N NOTAR [no tail rotor] and Hughes MD-500D with floats in 1:72 scale. There are a large number of markings for each one. Profiline have produced the body of the MD in clear plastic, which this modeler certainly appreciates. Looking at the colour schemes I think ordering more than one looks possible. On sale from February 10, 2011.

Profiline are to release a U.S. Navy Jet Blast Deflector [JBD] with steam catapult. A great idea if you are fed up with having your US Navy aircraft just sitting on the shelf. Profiline will be producing the deck in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale. Release date will be sometime in March, 2011.

Pavla Models are to release resin and vac formed update sets for the newly released 1/72 F-86F Sabre from Airfix. The T-14EA ejector seat looks particularly good. I will be receiving more images, hopefully next week. Also news that Pavla are producing resin and vac formed update sets for the Amodel 1/72 DH. 100 Vampire Mk 1/6. No images just yet so stay tuned, I will publish them as soon as they arrive from Pavla.

Included in this months releases from Quickboost is a great looking Tropical filter for the Bf 109F and the exhausts for the Sturmovik look excellent also. Just look how thin the walls of the pipes are. The spill doors for the Flogger are the doors that are just behind the air intakes and usually seen open when the aircraft is on the ground.

Just the one release this month. A cockpit set for the recently released F-22 from Fujimi. After just reviewing the kit I can tell you even though the Fujimi cockpit is pretty good, the Aires cockpit set is better looking than the kit. Also included is a PE sheet, including seat harnesses which are missing from the kit.

Some superb looking releases this month from Aires. Including cockpits for the A-7E Corsair II, Ar 196A-5. Wheel bays for the MiG-17F fresco C and auxiliary intake doors and bay for the Phantom FG.1/FGR.2. Finally wheels and paint masks for the Ar 196A wheels. Almost something for everyone. All the cockpit sets come with PE parts as well.

Included in this months releases in the big scale of 1/32 is a excellent looking Flogger canopy frame and blind for the Trumpeter kit. A cockpit set for the Trumpeter Bf 109G-2 and two superb bang seats the K-36L ejector seat for the Su-25 and the M.B. Mk 16A ejection seat for EF 2000A. All four releases come with PE parts.
