This month will see Revell-Monogram releasing the 1/48 scale TBD-1 Devastator with a historical book included. This sounds similiar to their release of the F-105F/G a few months back with a historical book as well.
The Revell-Monogram website doesn't call this a re-release but I'd be willing to bet it is. This kit features folding wings, crew figures, bombs and a torpedo. Here's a quote from their website regarding the Devastator:
"Although outclassed and obsolete by the time it flew in the Battle of Midway, the TBD Devastator was revolutionary when production started in 1936. The aircraft had an all-metal design except for fabric-covered elevators and rudder. It was the first monoplane that the Navy ordered for shipboard use, replacing bi-planes, and featured mechanical folding wings for compact stowage. It was equipped with one .30- and one .50-caliber machine gun for defense. Bert Kinzey's book, 'U.S. Navy Dive and Torpedo Bombers of World War II' is included in the kit."
They state the release to be 5/2003 so you should see it start to show up on the store shelves soon.
Here's a link to the review of the F-105F/G kit with historical book I mentioned earlier.
Information regarding this kit and others can be found at Revell-Monogram.
