Hi all
Well, it's one of those kits that's beemn gnawing at me ever since I posted the first News images - and yesterday I took the plunge and treated myself to something a bit special!:

Full marks to Neomega Resin on their quick turnaround - the kit arrived this morning! I've only just really had a chance to start examining it, but it's pretty awesome so far! A full review will follow soon.
All the best
Rowan

I'm looking forward to it. I hope the kit is not too good so I'm not tempted... but I don't think this will be the case...

Jagdwaffe Volume five, section 4: "Jet Fighters and Rocket Interceptors 1944-1945".

I was positively surprised about the large size and quality and quantity of photos and profile drawings. Definately worth 26 € !

Picked this up at a show on Sunday.

I've wanted it for ages but wasnt prepared to pay the RRP, so when this one came along at 60% of the Tamiya asking price it had my name all over it.
I picked up a cheap PE rigging set to go with it online this week as well.

Hi Nige
Nice catch! Tamiya's Swordfish is a beautiful kit! I haven't got the Mk.II, but I picked up the original Mk.I and the floatplane going for a song (well, £15!) when Beatties closed down years ago.
Jean-Luc - I'll be happy if my resin Hs 126 ends up looking half as good as the incredible job you made of the FM kit!
All the best
Rowan

Well the postman has delivered Revell's 1/32 Ju88 A-1 (B.O.B). A belated birthday pressie from number 1 and number 2 daughters. I've managed to get them well trained over the last twenty odd years. There's been enough said about this kit all over t'interweb and a cursory inspection would certainly confirm the positive opinions.
My "problem" is that unlike many of my fellow modellists I don't really maintain a stash (not more than 3 or 4 kits at a time) and now I'm starting to exceed my limits!! These are set by SWMBO and are non-negotiable. Nige ,if I'm limping next week you'll know I tried.
I'm really going to have to get the lead out of my a**e and build something!
Happy days
Steve

I would suggest a grubby old flightcase in the shed would keep the stash SWMBO proof.
Failing that, I have plenty of space at mine, and my storage charges are very reasonable
Nige
PS, If anyone sees ME limping next week then you'll know that Steves missus got to the both of us!

If there ever a problem with the kitmaker network no-one ever seems to post in the "all users" support or network talk areas.
Most Kitmaker issues are discussed in Armorama's site talk section and this has been discussed at length.
Link to issues Cheers

Thanks Allen
you sure are right, but I already thought of such stuff and did not want to discuss it, but just have a confirmation. Thanks for the link. I cannot get what the fun in DOS attacks on hobby sites is .. but I sure hope those people will rot in hell for it

Hi Allen
That's not strictly true, but I know what you mean - probably old pre-Network habits die hard.

Jim did actually post about the latest issues in Network Talk:
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/137677 Unfortunately, it does seem there have been more problems snce he installed the new firewall (the site was unavailable for a large part of the day whenever I tried).
All the best

That's a nice haul at a nice price! I wouldn't have minded a few of those myself. I take it the sale is now over?...

My new airbrush arrived today. The Iwata HP-CH, since i still had most of the $900 "economic stimulation" money that our government sent me- i decided to stimulate an airbrush retailer with it. It's the most $ i've ever spent on a modeling related item by far, but hey- the governments paying so why not get a really good airbrush?
I've had a play with it, and i now know that it makes my Badger 100G completely redundant. Anyone after a cheap Badger 100? But i never have liked the feel of the badger...too fine a line between having the pattern i want and pulling back slightly to far and having a mess every where. Or maybe i'm just too unco-ordinated. The Badger never really has replaced my trusty old Paasche H.
Anyway after playing with the Iwata for an hour or so i can now vouch for what everyone else has always said about them. Outstanding. And easy enough and convenient enough that i can finally see my Paasche H getting far less use.
