Agreed. that base is brilliant. I like the steel showing through the dirt. Is that a mark58 base?

Many thanks Shawn, Michal and J-P!!!!
@Michal ... keep it on low profile .. I am happy with the model, but it is nothing special. It has some AM stuff included, which turned ot quite nice and I made few major mistakes so I am glad you all like it too.
@J-P: I started the base a looooooong time ago .. no Mark58 then. it is the Eduard PSP cut to shape and some ground work. I painted it black and worked some Gun Metal pigments (Mig) into it .. then I applied more pigments (Afrcan earth and Europe dust .. because when I think of Korean battle fields I have some rather reddish ground work in mind ... might be wrong, but thats my impression) .. when I was satisfied I used "Pigment Fixer" from Mig (a different solution than "Thinner for Washes"). I am not totally satisfied with the gras, which still looks too "fresh" IMO
all the best
Steffen
P.S. also watch my other projects He 112 V6 and Super Etendard .. i am always happy to have some critique (even if some people talk about flora rather than models...)

Great looking Cosair! It is always a challenge to weather the Blue color scheme on these birds and you have done an excellent job Very impressive and the base looks great too

Well, Nick, you are a bit late, but thank you!
meanwhile I finished another model (He112V6) and proceed to get my Stipes entry done (Fokker E.V) .. which I won't make by this weekend as I hoped ...

Steffen, BRAVO!
As usual with your builds, fine attention to detail and accuracy have brought this bird to a great end.

Thank you Hermon!
Very kind of you .... IMO there is no perfect model kit and also no built up model. There are people who can get very close but sure not me. Every model I make a mistake(or several) or have an incident .. or both.

Thank you Herman!
hopefully my "summer builds" have or will motivate others to post their model projects too! You see on my models that even screwed up models can be finished ...
