OK, I'm signed up. My only problem: 4 Hasegawa 1/48 F-14s (two A's and 2 B/D's) and about 273 schemes I want to do!
Pretty familiar here at Aeroscale, but at least I have time to think about it!

Alright time to bump this one back up.I have decided for this campaign I will be doing a hasegawa 1/48 F-14A conversion to a B using Aries and steel beach acc. With markings from the VF-101 reapers.at the same time I will be building another F-14A in jolly Rodgers scheme for the afterburner campaign I'm nuts and should be committed

No not nuts Justin, just passionate about your tomcats. I'm looking forward to this one, will probably be one of the campaign highlights of the year for me. Just seen the Sluggers decals from Afterburner Decals and these could be the ones for me.
All the best.

I know, I know!
I'll be using the Fightertown decal set #48024 "Mo Reapers" Part 2. I got my F-14A kit for Christmas 3 years ago and bought the decals 2 years ago. I just never got around to building the ole girl.
The sheet has two options. First is bird 101 with red around the cockpit and red tails with a flying reaper (seriously cool) or option two is bird100 which is two tone gray with low vis marking.

I don't often throw a hundred bucks into a kit, so when I do she should have a really sexy paint job.

Ok I'll post now, I just bought Tamiyas 1/32 F-14A tonight with some Christmas money from Section 8 Hobbies. Markings, not sure but will be colorful indeed.

That is going to be an interesting build to follow, Joe. I am sticking to 1/72 or 1/48 - otherwise I need an extra room for it in the house.

Great minds think alike. I ordered my Black Box cockpit from SpruBrothers Monday night and I'm thinking of scratchbuilding a small section of carrier deck to display her on.

All,
I've decided I need to bow out for now. I'm pretty overloaded and my own Operation (Midway) was just approved so I need to be sure I have time to devote to that. I'll be watching your builds with interest, however!
Thanks, and have a great time!!

Hasegawa still makes the most convincing oob but there's a lot of fit issues so be prepared there's no easy way around them and there a little heavy on the wallet
