The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable-sweep wing aircraft. The F-14 was the United States Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconnaissance platform from 1974 to 2006. It later performed precision strike missions once it was integrated with the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night LANTIRN system.[1] The F-14 was developed after the collapse of the F-111B project, and was the first of the American teen-series fighters which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat against MIGs during the Vietnam War.
The F-14 first deployed in 1974 with the U.S. Navy aboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65), replacing the F-4 Phantom II and was retired from the active U.S. Navy fleet on 22 September 2006, having been replaced by the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.[2] As of 2009, the F-14 is in service with only the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, having been exported to Iran in 1976, during a time when the US had good diplomatic relations with the nation.
Alright guys I propose the mother of all planes the F-14 so break out your Hasegawa, academy, and everything in between for one sweet campaign and one awesome banner I propose a start date of Feb.2011 and will run for one year come on guys tackle the monster.Let me Know.

Hi Justin
Oh yeah, I'm in. I have re-discovered 1/72 scale so I might be able to do a couple. None in my stash in this scale. Humbug, I will have to do some browsing and buying. Fantastic illustration, it looks like the F-14 is being pursued by a couple of great whites!

Hoping I'll have the time, I probably will join -
I have a nice stack of F-14 decals, so with a little luck I should be able to find the kit to go with it. Or maybe build the one with the 'shameful manga decals'
Cheers,
Harm

Hi!
Count me in!
I´m a great Tomcat fan and really LOVE this aircraft!
I´ll build a Hasegawa 1/48th kit, I´m quite undecisive to which markings, tough.
Get set for take off....
Cheers!

I'm definitely in
I ran the last Tomcat campaign (Bye Bye Baby) a couple years ago with great success. I still have a few of the banners and ribbon ideas that weren't used if your interested?

I would join. I guess I wont be doing the Grim Reaper decals though as I see a few doing them here. I'll figure out a cool one. only have one in the stash. No aftermarket decals. WHo are the best to use? Fightertown??? I am new to the WIng thing. Trying to come up with something to build other than Humvee's and Abrams...

Wow, KoS, I'm impressed. You've been the modern aircraft guy for what, like 2 weeks, and already you have two campaigns on 2 of the hottest birds of the modern era.
I may just have to dig out that old Mono F-14D and build a swing wing.

Ya know.....while you're on the modern aircraft kick, the F-15 isn't exactly a slouch either.
And yes, I have one of those in the stash as well.

Amazingly I only have 1 F-15 in the stash and it's a 1/48 which I hardly ever build....
