...the staff could only see the "waiting approval" bit, because I had signed out .
I have put Fred on the case.
Andy
Hi All,
I signed out and yes, the Waiting approval area is gone. People can still register, though.
Right now there are 5 participants.

Alrighty then, I'm signed up. Not sure what to build, I've got quite a few choices in the stash though. It'll probably be a 32 or 48 scale Mig 21. We'll see.

Okay, I'm in with a MiG-17 or maybe a 21? Not sure yet. Russell

I'm all signed up and really stoked for this one.
Perhaps the ribbon could include the MiG logo:
Also, someone should step up for a MiG 1.44 as well. There's a few 1:72 kits out there. And no, that's not ME stepping up at all
. I already volunteered for the other end of the series (MiG-9).

Since I got a dispensation...I've started cutting plastic...
Have to dedicate a better part of this upcoming week to the project, so I'll post some photos.
This is a pure scratchbuild, 1/32 Mig-31. Probably finish her in the show-plane blue scheme that the Mig poster child wore...
The only parts (so far) that I will be pulling from other kits will include the ejection seat/cockpit details, wheels, afterburner cans, and weapons loadout. Everything else will be fabricated unless I can find some commonality with other aircraft, i.e., Mig-29 or Su-27 cans or wheels working, etc....

Well, we are sitting at 18 now enlisted. There seemed to be more people interested initially....
We have plenty of time to work out who is doing what. Anybody want to volunteer to write a historical time line of the development of the jet Migs? I will be a bit sparse here soon as I return to school the second week of August. I'll try to keep tabs on things as we move along. I have a lot of other campaigns I'm signed on for that I need to get completed and like soon. Hope this finds everybody doing well and enjoying the summer. It has been great here in Colorado with plenty of time for outdoor activities.

Question #1 Where the hell has this thread been hiding?
Question #2 Can I go ahead and get a 4 year extention?
I'm in. That makes 20 of us.
Dunno what I'll build yet as I have no MIG's in the stash by I know the address of Ebay.

:) Only 4 years?
:[]-- I was thinking about a campaign yesterday where you have to buy the kit off Ebay and build it all in the time frame of the campaign, only two months. Good idea?

I'll be bringing a MiG-29 to the table that I picked up on Ebay last night. Probably go with the German markings since the 3 color camo scheme is so cool.

I'm thinking MiG-29 too - a Polish version using the Academy 1:48 kit. Or maybe I'll do a Bulgarian MiG-21. I've got a few Fishbeds in the stash, including an old OEZ kit that is just begging to get built.
Of course, I'll probably change my mind 100 before the campaign starts.

Nice choice Yoni. My 29 is also the Academy kit but I'll be on the look out for some decals since I don't trust the Academy offerings. This will be my first Soviet jet ever so I'll be bugging you guys for advice on colors, etc. I have NO reference materials on MiGs so I'll have to see what I can find on the net.

Looks like I need to visit my own thread more often...
Seems we got buried a page or two back. Looks like we have 23 signed on for the campaign currently. Looking forward to getting this one going as I have a stack of migs gathering dust in the corner. Jeff, how goes prep work on the giant MIG? "Q"

I purchased my Hobby Craft Mig 17 off of Ebay like Warren instructed, does that make me official
or just another mindless plastic junkie
. Seriously I could not pass up the kit price and be able to be in this campaign.

Hello Comrades! We are less than 30 days out from the official kick off of this momentous campaign. We currently have 25 brave souls who have enlisted to serve the Motherland! Looking forward to 1 January when our Migs will begin lifting off. Again, as a reminder, please post in progress pics of your builds as you go and when completed, please post a pic of your finished model in the gallery. Thank you once again for enlisting in this campaign! "Q"
