For those interested in that (Indonesian) scheme, Aztec made a decal set for them in their 'Venimous Vipers' series (Venomous Vipers nr. 2, seems set nr 48-028).

You can also get the Indonesian markings in the Zotz Vivacious Vipers #2 decal set. There's a review on ARC but I can't link directly due to the setup of the site.

Still in the "fondling the plastic"-stage! At least the boxes have been taken out from the stash but I do have a few projects to finish before I can start the Vipers - but Vipers there will be!
Also waiting for some more references, I got the DACO-book a few weeks ago and then a friend in Italy came to my rescue with a 1980s book on European Vipers that I think will help a lot when doing a Dutch or Belgian one (still undecided on that issue...) that is still in the post!

Having also purchased the Tamiya F16c {Block 25/32} ANG kit, to go with the Block 50 cj kit, as well as 2 of the Kinetic kits and 2 AM decal sheets, which all arrived today. I've decided on the Indiana ANG subject in the 'special markings' but I have a couple of other builds to complete before I can start cutting plastic for this GB.

My first time in a campaign, mine probably a Navy Agressor, F-16A from revell in 1/72 or an Alaska F-16D (mix between a Revell F-16B and a Hase F-16C) in 1/72

Progress, albeit modest. I plan to use by full six months on this build, since my spare time is very limited.
This is the base of my project - The Kinetic 1/48 Israeli F-16I Sufa with domestic weapons from Skunk Works. (I plan to go with the Delilahs, the Python 4's and the BIG tanks). I also invested in the Aires Cockpit and the PE from Eduard.
I've started with the beatiful cockpit from Aires. Needed to carve quite a lot in order to get a good fit. Hopefully, I'll be able to start painting the seats and detailing the cockpit this evening.
Ps. Magnus (or anyone else for that matter) - I have the Revell F-16B in 1/72, including some detail sets (I planned to build a 1/72 Sufa with the Isracast conversion, before I switched scale to 1/48), as well as F-16 A/B Netz decals. If anyone is interested in this kit for a bargain price, please give me a ping!
Cheers! // PolarBear

Having spent a couple of days on a little assembly of my subject, I decided to assemble the fuselage section to the point where I can mask of for the AEAF Bands, before going any further with the build.
More later.

The Tamiya 48 kit #101 ANG Block 25/32 F16 is the kit {a pic appears on page 1 of both the boxart and the AM decal option I intend on building}.
Having masked the AEAF and applied the 3 white stripes, it's now a re mask and apply the 2 black strips into each section. Time consuming but practicle, as this practice works well on all the AEAF bands I've applied to my model subjects over the past year or so.
Each strip is 6mm wide, for an overall 30mm width. The rear AEAF bands are not the full rap around style, as the stop at the vertical vain on the lower fuselage section.
More to follow later.

Having applied the black AEAF bands of the fuselage and wing sections, after masking off the 3 white stripes and all masking tape is now removed and ready to move onto the stage in the next couple of days.

Hi guys. I'm finally underway here with a few sub-assemblies together last night. Nothing worthy of pics, I'm on a work trip away from home with just a few bare essential tools and a couple of kits to tinker with.
I'm doing a Tamiya 1/48 F-16C with Afterburner Decals, and it will have a full weapons load and wheels up. My 9yo boy Josh fell in love with the F-16 at the Avalon Airshow in March and apparently needs this one in "flight mode" to dogfight his way around the house !!
Cheers, D

Well after a little time offline due to a computer crash, I have mate the parts from Revell and Hase. She is masked and ready for primer
She represents a Block30 aircraft, main parts are from Revell excelent F-16B, plus the air intake, the "tail", "exhaust" and missile launchers from Hase F-16C, no aftermarket at all (I was going to use a pair of resin seats, but they dont fit the rear cockpit, so I will use the plastic ones)
The air intake part in Hase's F-16 is nearly 2 mm longer than Revell's own, so I'd to cut the rear part of it to fit in the body, not so hard
The nose cone is not glued yet.

@ Mark - Yes! An even bigger Sufa!!!
Personally, I'm currently struggling with the fit of the Aires cockpit. Was this ever intended for the Kinetic kit, or was it produced for the Hasegawa??? It fits nicely to the top part (having carved out the inner border of the cockpit tub opening, but there is no way that I can close the fuselage halves without extensive surgery...
Is it only me, or is anyone else getting tired of this mismatching? They put such tremendous effort into the details, but don't give diddley about the fit.
On the bright side, I hope to get a day or two of modelling next week. That is rare...

Hi All,
Great looking 'shark' scheme option on the Two Bob's decal sheet.
I've done the Orange for the tail section of my bird using Humbrol #18 Gloss Orange, The intake has had a coat of the orange colour as a base coat, before applying the Insignia Red.
Now to mask off the AEAF Bands and apply the Neutral Grey on the under surface as well as the mountings for the under wing stores.
More to follow later.
