Well, while taking a photo of progress on the X-3, the Revell F-16C jumped out of my stash and into the picture. Cheeky little kit! JT

Hi, Richard. I've read the book about the trip. What I thought was very interesting was that Rutan was flying with his ex-girlfriend. Hmmm... . All the best, JT

She wasn't his ex when they started planning. It was the incredible stress of the planning, building, testing and getting ready which killed their relationship. Imagine being trapped in a horizontal phone booth with your ex for 9 days.

The poor little airplane is quite overwhelmed by its stand! Despite the frustration it gave you, it looks very good

Thanks, Jessica. Actually the ittle fella was getting a bit lippy with me so I had to put it in its' place. I plan on getting some smaller bases one day. I bought the Aifix stands but even the small size ones are still a wee might too large. All the best and happy modelling, JT

Jessica
Fantastic bit of work on the Voyager! I have this kit gathering dust in my stash and you have motivated me to now move it a tad closer to my model bench. I don't recall ever seeing more than 1 or 2 of these kits built before your effort here. Nice job!
JT
Thanks for posting your valiant efforts on the X-3. I just picked one of these up but have not spend any time looking at it in detail. Your good comments are now copied for my build. I can't beleive that they did NOT include the seat after listing it as a feature on the box!!!
Have fun modeling
Mike

Hi, Mike. The seat is included- it's the instrument panel that's missing. Very odd since it very plainly states the panel is included. On the other hand, even if it was there, you would not be able to see it! The seat itself is very nicely moulded considering the scale. Al the best, JT

I got the decals on!
Despite dealing with an awful lot of cracked decals I managed to make it presentable.
Cheers Rob.

I had a lot of plans with this built at the beginnign of the campaign but as usual the life got into the way. So now Im late again and I had not kept the promiss of making more pictures during the built. Im nearly readz for paint at the moment and I hope I will finish in time. The kit is not so good and I would not recomend it to anyone except a hardcore fan of this plane. The overall fit is poor and the wheelbays are hard to put together. The cockpit is difficult to paint and weather due to its construction as a one piece resin part. The wings dont have the correct dihedral and small parts which are moulded in plastic are not very good. Resin part on the other hand are realy nice as are the PEs.

Very nice, Rob. Never realzed the X-15 had so many markings. Looks like something from NASCAR!
