Hi, gals and guys. Well, at first I thought I might build my new Fisher F4D for this campaign, but my lady friend (AKA She Who Has More Common Sense Than Me)suggested I might first learn how not to poke my eye out with my airbrush. Hmmmmm.... So instead I'm going to do the 1/48 Tamiya F4D. I have alot of neat stuff to go with it. My only concern is which decals to use. Probably something from Furball. Anyway, here's what I got:

Well, I've finally began working on the Skyray. Hope to get more done very soon. Haven't yet decided on a scheme.

Just a little more progress on the F4D

Would the prototype F-16 qualify for this campaign, on the basis that it was the worlds first all Fly-By-Wire aircraft with no mechanical backups?

Hi, Richard, JT here. Kit looks interesting- especially with all those really small parts. Hopefully, you're on very good terms with your Carpet Monster. For myself, I need to take some more pics of my F4D.

Hi all,
I have a PZL TS-11 Iskra 'Spark' in my stash with an extensive update set. According to some unreferenced sources on the internet, this Polish jet trainer broke a speed record in 1964.
The website http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/europe/pzl-ts-11.htm says this:
TS-11 Iskra bis "-trainer from 1964. two-seater, Built including 400 copies. This version is still the primary aircraft training pilots for the trophies and the Marines-szturmowych. She gained itself the opinion one of the best aircraft trainer-training in the world. "Iskrze bis" established on many records international:-2 SEP 1964-715,7 km/h in a 100 km closed-circuit,-24 SEP 1964-730 km/h in a closed 500 km-26 SEP 1964-839 km/h on the 15/25 km
I wondered if this plane would therefore qualify for this campaign (this campaign is a good reason to build it).

Thanks Richard, that is good news. I will enlist and I expect to start my build in about 3-4 weeks, due to finishing another build.
This is a good reason to finally build one of my most obscure kits.

I see the campaign had a great start. A lot of interesting projects and also planes I never heard of. I just finished moving into a new appartment and finally set up a improvised working bench so here are a few pictures of the kit I intend to build. I already wrote a few words about this plane in the campaign proposal toppic but at that moment I didnt have the pictures of the kit, so here they are. There is not much information about this short run kit on the net so I will describe the progress with more detail than usual.

The Gipsy Moth is still the prettiest one, and the nicest to fly, apparently
Dug out the Comet kit:
Mouldings look cleaner than they used to be, but detail is still poor
and that cockpit
Planning on taking it to London with me this week. Hotel modelling

Looks like I am coming in a lot late to the game, but I'lll see what I can do.
Already have a Wright flier, a Bleriot IX, Spirit of St Louis, DH88 Comet, Lockheed Electra and about 25 more hanging from a timeline of powered flight in my classroom.
I've got a few thoughts..

It's too bad that Amelia Earhart's Vega is already in progress and the Electra is already done.
I've started a Black Magc DH88, but have "The Green One" still unstarted.
Rutan Voyager is done, but Starship one and White Knight are still in the box..
decisions decisions....
