Rules question: Some records were set by production aircraft. For example, speed records by SR-71s or B-58s, long distance records by B-52s and the like. Can a representative aircraft be entered, or must the model be of the actual aircraft which claimed the record? For example, the Black Buck bombing raids were the longest-distance bombing raids at the time they were flown. Would any Vulcan do, or must we enter XM607?

Hi jessica
A rule change to allow a representative aircraft of the record holder would allow more build choice, referance should be given to the actual record holder, a photo of holder must be posted in the Official Campaign Gallery along with 2 photos of the model.
I would be happy to make the changes.
Comments please.

What about where the record holding aircraft is unknown? SR-71s, for example, have been highly secret and their top speed is still undisclosed. Whenever they needed a new "official" record they just went out and pushed the power levers a little farther forward...

Hi jessica
A rule change to allow a representative aircraft of the record holder would give us more builds/choice.
I would be happy to make the changes.

If you can stand teeny-weenie scale, the MPM Vega is a very nice little model.

Lol yes and it said that's what the airframe can safely handle with out more heat resistant materials added to various parts of the fuselage.among other various mechanical adjustments.1/48 is all I build and can't get into tenny weenie scale but thanks for the idea.

Hi All
Rule change.
This should open Campaign up to more builds.
Some Decal sets may not be available for some record holders.

"Also allow a representative aircraft of the record holder(This allows any Decals appropriate to the aircraft used)".

I'm in with the Matchbox Vickers Wellesley. The kit does include parts and decals for one of the modified distance record holders. I'm hoping to get hold of another at Telford this weekend as I would still love to do the standard bomber variant. If only Revell would reissue this one!

I am pretty sure I can find a photo of the Heinkle though of the Ba. 349 might be a tad difficult. Will try and comply with the directions.

Hi, gals & guys. Look what the postie dropped off today. And it's my birthday, to boot! Anyway, if I can do it in time, I plan to work on the Ford for this campaign. The kit is truely a mastrpiece by Mr. Fisher and crew.

Hi folks,
Started my SR-71 back in the beginning of the month

Not much to this one only about 65 pieces but I always wanted to build 1 of these going back to when I was a kit

Even in 1/72 scale it still a big bird
